@@@@ News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my garage where the trains still run , boys talk to rocks, the team keeps winning, and the Liar’s Club contest has begun– The New Potatoes won last night so it is on to Marquette and two more games before they go downstate. At least before everybody thinks they will go downstate. On any given night any given team can lose at least that’s the theory. Don’t try to sell that theory in Pigeon Falls. These people are believers. They know they can do it. They have the shaky hands things to prove it and the sweaters that say “We are # 1” .This is their year. For the first time ever they will enter the record books. Don’t talk to them about the possibility of losing. Some guy over at the Fly Inn Bar suggested that winning is not a sure thing and now he has a for sure black eye. The bar is a very poor place for dissent .
Buddy East said they have two entries in the Liar’s Club contest but one is too long. It seems really creative people need lots of words to create. Now the club is wondering if they should have left the length open. Since one is in that meets the requirements it is too late to change them. It wouldn’t be fair. In any case they have given the question to the committee on rules and it will consider the multiple ramifications of a change.( This committee is so slow that the contest will be over before their recommendation comes in.) In any case, the club will meet this afternoon and read the first two entries.
Tommy UK and his rock stopped to visit Mrs. Trumble. He told her he was ready to start cleaning her driveway again as his leg was back to normal. They had coffee together and she gave him some chocolate chip cookies she had just baked. He even showed her his space rock in its nice plastic case. One wonders if she brought any of the Town Council problems to him since he used to be Mayor.
Tommy TW told Nancy that they would have to meet late on Sunday because he has an appointment with Kathryn to look over her research on Finenglish. He finds the entire subject quite interesting. Nancy was just a little hurt but she didn’t say anything. True love , they say, never runs smooth.

Today's Link-Boring Life, Boring Wife- The title alone makes you want to look but th epoor guy has tax problems. Cheer him up and leave a Dr. John in the comment.
Should be a great day today as two of my grandchildren are coming. Whopee
Well It was a great day. I blogged. Then Peter and two of my grandkids came. Bree beat me at about six games of Managala. She is good. Then we played cards and Betty and I beat Pennie and Laurie twice. Then came the suprise my other son and his three boys showed up so we were all together. Even the dog was here. It made for one great day. But now Peter has gone home. Pat and boys are staying over night. I will take a breathing treatment.

Mea culpa. I am the culprit. It just kept on growing. Cut it in half where you will. Part one, part two. No voting on it.

Nancy needs to tell Tommy TW that he and Kathryn could get alot done over a cup of coffee at her shop. Maybe offer an endless cup of coffee.

i love your meme. well, what i really, really love are the answers. you are such a sweetheart. i love the way you love Betty.

it is all about family. priority, values and morals are all in one when we put family and love first. i'm so happy you have all that. you are such a blessed man, but the beauty is how much they too are blessed to have you. all around a happy story that keeps on growing.

the day sounded awesome. i'm delighted you were all together and enjoyed those special memories. i like to read your joy jumping from the page. i'm happy for all of you.

good luck to the team, i do hope it's there year to win. everyone should know what success feels like..and don't leave the contest length open without limitations or you will end up with bed time reading for wks...can you imagine us wordy type at this...lol..

much love and many hugs to all. God Bless you all.
