The Real Real World -Soaps Up
Saying for the Day- Truth is sometimes hidden in fiction.
Its time again for another adventure of Real Real World, the soap opera that brings you the real world as it would be if written by the writers of the soaps.
Last week the scandal at Walter Read Medical Center broke. Those of us that have been watching knew it was coming. We know that behind it all is the mysterious man in the black pants. That’s all we have gotten to see were the black pants. He gives the orders. He has for months now been arranging for this to happen. He has been providing the information to the papers and the television though never directly. He wanted the government to look bad. He has, we know , secret ties to Alqada. He wants our servicemen to think the government doesn’t care about them. He seems to be winning. But we know because its been promoted all week that this is a cross over episode and Jack from 24 is on his way to save the day. He is flying in from California where he has been busy saving the world form a nuclear bomb. But our villain knows Jack is coming and has sent a jet fighter to shoot him down. Jack diverts to Upper Michigan but the change is detected and the battle ensures above a Northern Blizzard. Jack’s plane is seen going down into the snow . Will he survive. Will the evil villain win . Is this the end for America not to mention “24”. Our writers have left us with a real Friday cliffhanger.
@@@@ News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my garage where the trains still run, boys talk to rocks, and life goes on as usual-This is Saturday and a big game is tonight, a big party is this afternoon, and not much is going on this morning.
Tommy UK spent the day in his room talking to his rock. His dad is really getting worried but it looks as if he is going to go to Pastor Marvel’s party. He likes the old guy. His comet rock is really only about 1/2” round in a clear case. All the air in the case has been vacuumed out. The case can easily be slid into a pocket and one suspects Tommy will take it with him to the party.
Tommy TW told Nancy that his book “ Murder in the Sauna” is about three quarters done and he would like her to read that much over and give him her opinion. He wants to be sure that non of the characters are so recognizable that he could get sued. Nancy is a poor choice for this job because she is likely to think anything he writes is as wonderful as he is.
Nancy is upset because her supply of saffron is late. If it doesn’t arrive by Monday she will be back to making ordinary bread buns and what fun is that. Though Nancy’s bread buns are the best in the county and have won first place at the county fair three years in a row.
Mrs. Herman Hermansen was overheard at the grocery store responding to the question of what she thought of Pastor Marvel’s leaving that “ As far as I am concerned that man can go to hell”. She didn’t like the pastor before him either. The next pastor should watch out for her. It is rumored that one Sunday after church, over coffee she said to him that she hadn’t seen him in a long time , implying he hadn’t been doing enough visiting. His response was “ Why Mrs. Hermansen I’m here every Sunday. How could you miss me?”( She only attended two or three times a year)

I slept all morning. Apparently one of the sideeffects of the drugs I'm taking is being drowsy as well as having an upset stomach. In the afternoon I watched a ;ittle television ,Columbo. Then I had some crakers and ginger ale. I blogged and went to almost all my links. Now I need a brathing treatment.

ahem, ahem, pls update us in how you are doing..how was the breathing and oxygen last night?..
XO
Good. That rock needs to get out and make some friends.
Must be difficult being the pastor there. How many more will there be, before Mrs. Hermansen is satisfied?
You may just have unraveled the secret to what is really going on in Washington! Be sure to let Lou Dobbs know!
I tried the line 'you know where i am every Sunday and I'd love to see you anytime' and the person i said it to 18 months ago still isn't talking to me...
I have tried to visit her twice at her home too since then but she either a) wasn't in or b) hid behind the sofa!
Thank heaven's you haven't been watching LOST from the beginning. You'll be bonkers by now.
How 'ya feeling? Our prayers are all going out to you.
Thanks for todays link Dr John, I was tempted by foxy, and foxy I got.
That was a lovely post. How are you doing?
Thanks for the visit.
I just wanted you to know that we got about ten inches of "unforecast" snow down here Friday and Friday night. Did you get any up there? How 'bout Pigeon Falls? (Can you direct me to some archived posts that may help me know more about that train and town in the garage?)
PS.
I'm still a 24 fan, but LOST is beginning to LOSE me, Margaret.
On the plus side of talking to rocks -- they wilo never share your secrets -- unlike Nancy.
Hope your feeling better, are you anything like Dr.Phil?
My mind isn't as sharp as it used to be, I have no mind for politics at all, I am just not devious enough.
On a persona note, that has been my problem lately also, some of the medication that the Dr.'s put people on, has such a side effect of sleepyness, you can't close your eyes, then at night you can't sleep, because you have dozed all day. Well at least that seems to be my problem.
I hope things are getting better for you. I know that a lung infection would not be a good thing.
I didn't realize they were still rerunning Columbo. I used to really enjoy that show.
Hope you are feeling better.
what's that saying? "don't complain about your church, afterall, if it was perfect you couldn't attend." or something like that- maybe someone should clue that Mrs. Hermansen in.
Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.
Who or what are we, but something contained (or connected to) a cell which multiplied and multiplied and became who we were 50 years ago, 40 years ago, thirty years ago, twenty years ago, ten years ago - and wait for it - what shall we be next?
no so much ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
but more like "Light to light"
as long as you are not alone in the house, the drowsiness might not be the worst side effect.your poor body needs extra rest..but i do feel better when someone is right there to make sure all is well. kisses to your stomach. how about shewing on peppermint tea leaves..my mom is a strict vegetarian and a health store walking encyclopaedia..she always wants me to try all sorts..i will ask her how many things you might have an option for.
i should have tought of it earlier..i should have, sorry..but not always thinking my sharpest is one of my meds side effects-Nah, that is a joke, it's mostly me, lol! :P

i do hope Nancy gets her saffron delivery before she runs out. oh those suckers are delicious!!! she (Betty) is the best cooker of them all (that is how my kids would say it when they were little, :) ).
about the book, how sweet of T to want an opinion..but he should choose wisely whom and why and where and how..
i rolled laughing with the comback of the Pastor to Mrs.Hermasens..that is the best i have heard ever. YOu are a most clever and smart monkey (a compliment from this end..i call my heart people all sorts of cute animals and sweetheart and honey...you get the idea i hope). i award you the best comeback, ahem, i mean i award the Pastor the best comeback of the century..
**********
here's hoping that you are sleeping soundly and breathing easier. many, many hugs from all here and much love to the family. God Bless.
