Three

Saying for the day: Three is a nice number but four is larger.

Three things in life that, once gone, never come back:
Time
Words
Opportunity

Three things in life that may never be lost:
Peace
Hope
Honesty

Three things in life that are most valuable:
Love of family
Self-confidence
Friends

Three things in life that are never certain:
Dreams
Success
Fortune

Three things that make a man / woman:
Hard work
Sincerity
Commitment

Three things in life that can destroy a man / woman:
Alcohol/Drugs
Pride
Anger

Three things to give away everyday:
Love
Smiles
Hugs

Three things that are truly constant:
Father
Son
Holy Spirit

I ask the Lord to bless you,
As I pray for you today;
To guide you and protect you,
As you go along your way.

His love is always with you,
His promises are true.
And when you give Him all your cares,
You know He'll see you through.

Pass this along to People you want God to Bless...
I Just Did.

@@@@ News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my garage where the trains still run and something is in the air , could be dragons-People who have stopped into Nancy’s for coffee say that she seems unusually happy. She hasn’t been this happy since she chained herself to the old oak tree, and fought with the town. They say that she is humming when they come in and has a great big smile. She has even given out some free second cups of coffee. She is not acting at all normal. She burned a batch of saffron buns and didn’t seem upset. Seeing people happy tends to bother people who aren’t so Nancy has bothered a number of people who liked her old “normal” self.
Tommy, the undertaker’s kid, feels that his substitute teacher ,Eino’s wife, had no right to show his paper “ the edge of nowhere” to Eino. Isn’t there some kind of law that protects school children’s privacy. Yes! He got an A on the paper but that is not the point. How can he be free to express himself if the teacher is going to show his paper around to others. Eino didn’t help the matter either by telling Tommy he didn’t think the paper should have been written.
Tom, the writer, took his first Sauna yesterday. Nancy told him he had to try it. He went down to Jack’s and spent an hour. He said it was a good experience but he isn’t ready to go out and roll in the snow yet. But he does feel really clean. He also spent some time gathering sauna stories from Jack. There was old Mr. Rinntila who took a sauna every week until he died. In has last years the son brought him in in a wheel chair and carried him in to the Sauna. Rinntila claimed it took away some of his arthritis pain. Then there was the time when they thought the sauna was haunted . September 3 Jack has lots of sauna stories and Tom wants to hear them all.
Eino is having a great time in New York. He called Toivo and told him that at Ellis Island he even got to see a picture of the ship that Isoisä Jupola came over on. He is bringing a picture back for Toivo. He discovered that there was another Jupola that came over at the same time and he is wondering what happened to them. Just another mystery for poor Eino whose plate is already full.
Will Eino ever find out about the other Jupola? Will he discover the secret of the stone hermit? Will he crack the case of the dragon? And what about the White Rabbit? Will he ever know who put the device in Jack’s sauna? Is Tommy really the undertaker’s kid? Do these stupid questions ever get answered?

Today's link-My Knitting Machines and Me-Don't get too excited over the socks- Remember to leave the words Dr. John in the comment. Why? For old times sake.
Soon , very soon, the JCPOINTS will be history. Check yours HERE and what they can still get HERE.
Well another dull day at the fortress. I did a little blogging in the morning. I have to find new links you know. Then we went looking for furniture with Pennie. She didn't find anything she liked. We came back and played canasta. Betty and I lost. When we finished we discovered there were four extra jokers in the deck. I hope you keep praying for Chana. You can read her comment for the day and see what a big hearted lady she is. Now I need a breathing treatment.

That was a wonderful prayer. It's definitely what I needed to see today.

I have to remind myself to post up a group-type prayer that we prayed during our teachers meeting at the church and a little backstory with it too..

I got my disneyworld bell in the mail yesterday.. so cute! Thanks..

What am I to do with the other points I have left.. hmm... how much time do we have left before they go ka-put???

hello dear friend. there is so much to say. i miss being here. i read your post for my laptop i can place the screen upside down but it's hard to sit up and type so i haven't. i miss letting you know i am enjoying your words.

today's are beautiful and isnpiring and fitting, thank you.

thank you for the prayers. from you and Betty and all that you have sent my way that are pulling for me.

my breathing is more stable. last night no major couging, shocking, drowing feeling and that was wonderful. my asthma is controllable. on wednesday i started having big pain in right kindney but i am quaranteen and the lungs couldn't handle the extreme cold so i wasn't allowed to go to clinic. today i went and i have white blood cells and blood but the doc didn't prescribe anything. my options if the pain. blood gets worse is to go to emergency. the culture comes back on monday. if it's alright, the kidneys have to be looked into further. remember in october, it was the left one then. nothing came of that. prednisone and all those pain killers eventually calmed it down. now it's the right one. it's a waiting game. on wednesday i am to see the lung specialist. they got me in very quickly. and if major trouble the nurse from him said to let her know. one step forward.
on tuesday i had gained some fighting spirit back. i'm not giving up and feel stronger but i need to concentrate in all the positives with me. i have been spending much time praying and that is bought me much relief.
i don't want to worry and bring anyone down so i don't know if i'll copy this and post it. i think everyone's life are full and we all have alot with our own crosses to read much more negative stuff.

i dearly miss you and all our blogger friends. i read some post but can't type back. you have built a special community and i love being a part of it. i just want to be active in it soon. pls know i am here reading and enjoying and trying to learn.

my love to your angel Betty and all the family. Lori, Pennie, Brea and all the boys.

if nobody buys the things in the store than i will. the moose for Butterflies please. she has a polar bear and it seems fitting as a buddy.
the clown for Quilldancer. it plays music and she is so lovely and sweet, i want joy to go to her home and it goes with the clown she bought.
the bell for SleeplessinOklahoma for she can ring it and thing of you and our little communityl. she can call the angels with a ring..i know it's silly but i kinda do that.
and the tiger to Happy and Blue 2, for he is a dear man who brings us much joy and welcome silly to make us happy.
and may they all get a delicious safron bunn too. may they enjoy delicious baking from the Fortress. i have earned those JC points with so much pride i cannot tell you. i am so proud to have had so many.

Dr John

This is a wonderful post, no truer words to live by.

I am always inspired when I visit. Sometimes you will post a story that will trigger a memory I've long forgotten about me.

Thankyou Dr John for your blog.

Blessings to you and Betty

Three things I (try to) do every day:

1. Go to Dr. John's Blog
2. Remember that he doesn't post the night before anymore, so go back again to check if he has changed posts yet.
3. Visit Dr. John's link of the day.

I'm sorry, guilty of visiting, but not always leaving comments. The no comment days are either very hectic - or bad arthritis days. I will try to do better with comments, especially after your post of "A Kid in a Candy Store."

Thank you for the beautiful prayer.
