Birch Tree Comments

Saying for the Day: Birch trees were created by God but God didn't create pictures of them.

Its leave a comment Monday.
I have been getting so many nice comments lately that I don’t have a need to whine or beg as I have in the past.

Instead I thought I’d share a comment problem I have.

When I leave comments I want them to be fresh, funny ( if possible) , clear, honest, and on topic. I don’t want to leave spam.

So I carefully read the entry for the day and then struggle to leave the best possible comment.

This leads me to my problem.

What kind of comment can you leave on birch trees?

Before we go on let me in my defense say that I didn’t start off as a birchaphobe. I took 4-h and made great things out of birch bark ( like little sinkable canoes). Some of my best friends have birch trees in their yards.

But there are lots of people out there in the great blog universe posting pictures of birch trees. There are birch trees in snow and birch trees without snow. Birch trees with leaves and without leaves. Birch trees with birds and birch trees without birds. There are solitary birch trees and entire forests. When you run out of photographs there are drawings of birch trees in realistic and nonrealistic forms.

I have seen so many birch tree pictures that I am becoming a birchaphobe . When I am riding in the car and see a birch tree I reach for my mouse to move to another blog (Chevrolet , however, didn’t supply a mouse with the car).

But I digress. The problem is that it is Monday and I want to leave a comment on every blog I go to that allows one. But what do I say to birch trees?

“That’s the best birch tree I have ever seen” wouldn’t be honest since if you’ve seen one birch tree you’ve seen them all.
‘ I’ve never seen a birch tree like that before” again not honest and not funny either.

“Wow, what camera did you use to get that picture”. Since I know nothing about cameras and couldn’t care less what camera was used. It doesn’t meet my criteria either.

So I end up leaving spam like comments. “nice blog you have here”, “good birch tree picture”, “there a lot of birds in that tree”, or “ I’ve never seen a birch tree picture upside down like that before.

Then I feel bad ( it doesn’t take much to make me feel bad).

I should have left a better comment.
I need to read up on birch trees, photography, and art.

Then I’ll leave the greatest birch tree comment ever.

7900 spins without a win. Old Hapless is bit disappointed today. He didn't win the Iwon.com annual million despite all his entries, he didn't win any of the March special prizes even though he had 3100 entries, and he didn't win the week end $1000. He tries so hard and never, never wins. But this is a new month and he will start again.
Well Uncle Wiggly lovers if Old Hapless doesn't find a contest where he guesses the number of birds in the birch tree and gets it right causing one bird to fly away. We will be back tomorrow with "As the World Spins"

Well I went to thirty random blogs this morning and left 28 comments. I didn't see a single birch tree. I wonder where they all went?Betty went to the dentist. She needs a crown. I bit the bullet and did my income tax and e-filed the forms. Ended up owing about $3700. If you read the comments section on today's post you will see at least four things to say about birch trees. Well I need a breathing treatment.
