Raven's Challenge 90

Today's Saying

From the bitterness of disease man learns the sweetness of health. ~Catalan Proverb

Bathroom And Bedroom are my World

This morning Pastor Joan posted a sign on Nancy’s bulletin board which has become the community information center for Pigeon Falls. She called on everybody to go through their house and put all the money they had in an envelope with the amount and their name on it. Then in the morning bring it to Church with them . The Pastor or Priest would collect them all and bring them to Mrs. Trumble. Those that don’t go to Church can bring the envelope to Mrs. Trumble at the town hall in the afternoon. Pastor Joan is hoping that there will be enough gathered to pay what the old woman/witch wants. Even if they fall somewhat short she might see how everybody pulled together and send us home anyway. At least that is what they are hoping.
The mood in town moves back and forth between depression and hope.
Then of course there is the wild card. There is Eugene

Dr. John, I've been wondering what you've been up to. I've also been in a place where bedroom and bathroom were my world(caused by my enemy "arthritis")...it gets old! Hoping that you are able to expand your horizons soon. Blessings to you, Kathy

Hi Dr. John. I've been back tracking a little in your blog this morning and I am sad. Think I should stop complaining about my getting older until I get worse off (I am 76). I couldn't find your condition which is affecting your lungs.
I will pray for you also. God listens to our prayers. You had a lot praying for you when you were sick and now that sickness is ebbing away some.

Thank you for peeking in on me this morning. Sometimes when one is feeling dumpy the computer cheers us up, especially the blogs.

I do hope Eugene is staying sober now and is getting filled in on his may be-role in the people's exodus.
Somehow I have the feeling that the town cannot raise the witch lady's demands except through him.
Dear, dear.

Happy 6WS! :-)

:( I guess the past 24 hours haven't been so great. This sounds more like a flu-ish issue than a breathing issue? I'm always praying. I hope you feel better soon.

I HOPE the town raises enough... something tells me that gypsy witch isn't going to take one PENNY less than her demand... and MIGHT turn them all into flizzards for even THINKING it!

Your six words are just perfect!

And wild cards. They are called wild cards for a reason - are they not?

I hope you feel better soon. I understand teetering between depression and hope. I'm leaning a bit towards hope this afternoon. But just barely...

Well, I am not certain Eugene can make a logical choice, so I hope the good folks of Pigeon Falls can gather enough money.

But most of all I hope you're feeling better soon and can wander into the living room or kitchen for a change of scenery!
