It's time for the internet contest that requires no postage and handling fee.
The contest that requires no credit card.

The contest that doesn't even require your correct name.
Every Friday we give away priceless prizes to some lucky person who commented on this blog or one of the daily links in the week gone by.

THE RULES:
To take part in the contest you must
1: Have commented on at least one entry on this blog in the last week.
2: Be willing to supply your mailing address.

For every day that you left a comment we write your name on a slip of paper that is placed in our rose colored drawing bowl. So if you commented every day you could have 7 slips in the bowl.
( The more slips the higher your chance to win)
If you commented on the Link of the Day and put Dr. John in the comment you get one more slip. If you commented on the Link every day that's a total of seven slips.

You could therefore have 14 chances at winning the Priceless Prize.

Next Betty or her designated replacement draws one of those slips and that person wins the Priceless Prize.

@@@@ News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and the Pigeon Falls Days Variety Show had its 2007 debut. –The Variety Show had its first run last night and everything went quite well. The only incident was at the beginning when people in the back rows and the balcony complained that the stage was too dark and they turned the house lights up a bit. First time that has ever happened.
Vicki East did the Pigeon Falls song and added a new verse as she does every year. The audience sang the coo coo coos along with her and it sounded like a theater full of pigeons. Tommy UK did a pretty good job with his taps but with less enthusiasm than last year. Toivo and Eino had the people falling in the aisle with laughter with their Abbott and Costello routines. But they didn’t do Tuna Casserole . Eino said they might do it tonight. Former Mayor South and her husband sang that ever popular song “ If you don’t leave me alone! I’ll find someone who will” They do that song so well that it’s hard to believe they are happily married. The children’s group sang “ He’s Got the whole World in His Hands” and got a long ovation .There were other numbers as well but the big hit of the evening was when Grandma Miller sang “ She’ s Dead in the Baggage car Ahead”. This is an old , old ballad about a man on a train with a crying kid. Finally some lady asks where’s the kids mother. She’s told the mother is dead in the baggage car ahead. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place when Grandma Miller finished.
Everyone said it was one of the best Variety shows ever. A good number are going to come back and see it again.
Petrovich still hasn’t heard from his friends at the monastery. He thinks we are running out of time. The unless, he thinks, needs to take place before the Queen is officially crowned which is on the day of the Pigeon Day’s Parade. (August 25)
Will Eino and Toivo do “Tuna Casserole”? Will Vicki South sing “Unless”? Will Tommy UK get his enthusiasm back? Will Petrovich’s friends come through before it is too late? Does Grandma Miller know anymore sad songs? And of course is Tommy UK really the undertaker’s son?

Wow! Two weeks in a row. Now that's luck. She needs to let us know if she wants to power walk or to take one of the doors. Congratulations Stacy.
Well Stacy doesn't want to walk and has chosen door number two. Today behind door number two is our two holiday special, two fingertip Easter Towels and two Gingerfrost Lane sets of figures.
A nice day and a good breathing day. I have an appointment with my lung specialist in September. I played on the computer and watched my soaps. Betty went to the eye doctor. Her eye is coming along nicely. Maggie caught a bird. She let Betty take it. Now I need a breathing treatment. ( My life is so dull)
