The Train Show

Saying for the Day- A picture is worth a thousand words.

Pictures from the train show.

On Saturday I took three of my grandsons to the Title Town Trian show in Green Bay.

These are pictures from the show.
I didn't get much of the trains but
got a lot of happy grandsons.

And even one of a happy Betty

@@@@News from Pigeon Falls– the little town in my garage where the trains still run, dragons fly , and life is just one dull thing after another-Tourists have been pouring into Pigeon Falls hoping to see a dragon or a poltergeist or even a six foot white rabbit. The poltergeist has vanished, the white rabbit hasn’t been around since last fall, and the dragon has been showing up only in dreams. So the tourist has to settle for shirts, key fobs , and comic books. All they get to see is an ordinary , dull, very small town with a lot of pigeons. They do get to hear stories of the dragon and the poltergeist. But they also hear the “Pigeon Story” of how the pigeons saved Pigeon Falls. They are subjected to stories about the state championship basketball team. This isn’t even festival season. Pigeon Days is a long way a way. There are no Liar’s Club contests running at the moment. This is just your ordinary dull town.
A few, unlucky, tourists will run into Petrovich over at Nancy’s having coffee. He will try to persuade them that the future of the world and perhaps the universe is right here in Pigeon Falls. What happens here will determine the fate of the world. They listen politely and then walk away wondering why Petrovich isn’t locked up. They don’t want nuts they want dragons.
They always stop at Nancy’s hoping the tea cups will pile themselves up but they don’t.
They can take an authentic Finnish sauna over at Jack’s. He has only raised his prices a little to take advantage of the large number of tourists. He is even throwing in a free poltergeist story of when the poltergeist visited his sauna.
Just your average day in your average small town.

Today's Link-Jeff's Jetsam II- Somebody else joined a church and why this one-Leave a Dr. John in the comment.
We worked in the new house today. Our computer room is shaping up. There are a few things that must wait until one of the boys comes but everything else is coming along. I missed my soaps and did very little blogging. Now I need a breathing treatment.

is there a similar set really in the garage? I'm wondering because I have a post up about "Who is neighbor" which leads into second post about the sense of neighborhood in cyberspace. Your Pigeon Falls reminds me of both Mr. Rogers' neighborhood and Garrison Keillor's Lake Woebegone. Could you give me a link to how it all began? I'm truly interested.
