Friday in Neenah

Saying for the day: Count your blessings.

The week is coming to and end and I am thankful.
It has not been the best week ever.
We have had trouble sleeping .
The alarm went off on the B-pap last night and we have no idea why.
This week saw us lost twice.
I received two orders that didn't work.
I got an order that was doubled and so one had to be sent back.
WE had trouble finding a Post Office.
The tree still isn't trimmed.
There are unopened boxes cluttering up the living room.
Not a great start in our new home.
But we had only a dusting of snow and up North they had a blizzard.
Pennie's house is sold and gone.
We are developing some kind of a pattern for living.
We see my daughter every day.
We can go to my granddaughter's church play on Saturday.
WE can Christmas shop in great big stores.
I think I’ll just count my blessings and stop whining.

News from Pigeon Falls– The little town in my backyard where the trains still run and two big parties are coming.-Pastor Marvel announced that Last Lutheran in cooperation with the other churches of Pigeon Falls is hosting an embrace the future party. It will be held the on the fourteenth at the same time as the doomsday party at the Fly Inn. It will feature an Advent theme of hope. Everybody in town is invited. There will be food and fun.
So Pigeon Falls now has a choice it can embrace the future , whatever it is, or run from it.
Nancy says that she knows which party she is going to attend and she won’t be wearing black. In fact she has put up a big sign in her coffee shop that says “embrace the future”. She also has a sign that says “Coffee $.25 on the 16th only”. She is saying clearly that she will be still in business after the end has come and gone.
Not to be out done “Kivi and Maki” is offering a sweater that says “ I survived the end of Pigeon Falls”. It is selling well. Sometimes one needs to step back and laugh at life. One bets that if Pigeon Falls is till here on the 16th that the sweaters will sell like crazy.
The White Rabbit made several appearances last week. In the last one he was wearing one of those “ I survived “sweaters. Now, how in the world did he get that?
Mrs. Trumble is continuing her frantic effort to save the railroad and thus save Pigeon Falls as well. She is considering asking for a one mill property tax so the town can buy into the railroad. She is checking with the town lawyer to see if that is legal. You have to give her credit she is doing her very best. The same energy she used in achasing the White Rabbit is now going into saving the town.

Link for Today-My Thoughts Exactly- Remember to leave the words Dr. John in the comment to get those holiday JCPOINTS.
WE went to the credit union today and opened up an account . It took two hours. then we went shopping. Some of our Christmas shopping is done. Then I totaled up all the JCPOINTS for the last four days and brought that up to date. Now I need a breathing treatment.

all the moving, the packing/uppacking, the stress has been hard on you and Betty. you are both probably still tired and a bit overwhelmed. it is okay to admit that, sometimes writting it out it helps. i know. you don't complain, you never have. you just say it like it is and that is just why we are here. you have formed a community of friends and of love. it is not just one way, you get to be loved and comforted too.
i hope this wknd and all the joy in seeing Brea in her play will be the beginning of a new and peaceful and much more wonderful life.
i am concerned however over your B-pap. can someone come and look at it maybe to make sure its working properly. i bought on ebay last yr, first online purchases for me and about half the purchases came on time and in perfect condition but some came late and i learned never to buy jewelry-bad idea.

i would choose to go the embrace party and would make to buy coffee on the 16th. it sounds like things are looking up and the people are feeling better. that is wonderful. the mayor is doing a great job. she is resourful and doesn't give up. that is good.

i slept last night. first night in many. that helps. Keka and i are grateful for your prayers. she is determined to go to school, limping-her bone in the top of the foot. she has a math test she doens't want to miss. she was absent yesterday and she doesn't want to be today. that is my girl, stubborn as heck and just keeps on going, i'm grateful she is such a fighter. she will be okay. and so will i. i feel calmer today, thank you. i will send the pics to Loris email for i know that one works for sure. hugs to you and Betty.

Did you know you can do all of your post office stuff online? You tell them what you've got and they will give the carrier instructions to come to your home to pick up, bring stamps, affix postage and the whole entire works. It doesn't cost any extra.

I think there is a lesson in there for all of us. I've been a little down cause we dont have room for a tree right now. But it could be worse. I could have no home.

Dr John - "Walking The Dog"

Yesterday Blair managed to appear on tv with Bush
Today Bush reveals "Barney's Xmas special" talking to his pooch

Just shows Bush cares more what his pooch has to say, than his poodle over at blightey way

Those are the exact words my mother used to say to me: Count your blessings and stop whining. We all need to do some whining though to know what our blessings are.

lol! Dr John,
but you still like looking at your plate, even if it's the same as what you had for dinner last week.

Every human is unique
Every animal is different
Every meal is a 'new' meal
Ever planet is interesting
Every galaxy has its own Magic

and every black hole is unique
just like every day is another day

Have a great Friday, an awesome Saturday and a peaceful Sunday
