Dogs and Dogs and Dogs

Saying for the day: No home is complete without a good dog.
Here are some of our dogs starting with my dog Hessa , I grew up with this dog and am pictured here with her.

This is BoBo
the dog my kids grew up with. If it had been a bit more moral it would have lived longer. It chased after a lady dog and broke a blood vessel which ended in an infection that killed him.

This is Spanky the latest addition to the Linna dogs. It is smart and sneaky.

News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my garage where the trains still run and the future is clouded– The big council meeting is tonight and nobody seems to know what will happen there. Dr. Fortress still hasn’t decided to shut down the railroad but he is certainly leaning in that direction. If the trains stop then the mine stops and the mill. What rabbit ( excuse the expression) can Mrs. Trumble pull out of her hat to save the town. She is after all just an old lady that hunts rabbits not a magician.
The town has always looked to Eino and Nancy and they are on the council. Is it possible they will come up with something? We know that Eino is certainly trying. He has had four meetings with Dr. Fortress but nothing seems to have changed. Nancy has been talking to people in her coffee shop and looking for answers . The problem may be that there are no answers.

I feel like we are running around in circles. So much to do and so little time. We took over $100 worth of food to St. Vincent De Paul so that was good. It was canned goods , cake mixes and such. Took down pictures, cleaned out cupboards . So it is possible we may be able to go tomorrow.
I need a breathing treatment.

They all look like fine dogs.....too bad you did not have a picture of Rush.....maybe when you have look a like day you could put one of Rush and one of Spanky. I think Rush was his grandfather since they both like to climb trees after squirrels and they look so much alike (and both are smart and sneaky).

There are such memories with our pets. I can a remember our first dog and he didn't like us (he LOVED my dad but my dad didn't like him). Funny how that worked.

I love the first photo.

Eino and the rest of the town should conspire with the train engineer to take Dr. Fortress on a trip to Guilt.

Dr. John what a cutie you were. How adorable you look in that picture with your dog. I have often heard that the relationship between a dog and a child is so beneficial beyond the obvious. It is a safety zone for the child. My kids would love to have one, any pet really. I feel bad for them for we can't because of so many health conditions with Keka and me but i can tell you those kids will have a zoo each in their homes when they grow up. ;)

I like that new one is so smart but sneaky too. i love mischievousness. it makes it fun ;p ..i can only imagine how your grandkids are just loving him around.

I feel hopeful that Pigeon's Fall will be alright, somehow. Maybe they will all move to Neenah where Dr. Fortress can start up a new Train. Either way i know that it will never die. It has bought so many so many hrs worth of joy and it will forever live in our memories and hearts.

Dr. John we woke up to blowing snow but warm, much warmer weather. the kids even went to school and to our joy tomorrow is another school holiday and there is no school, so it's cuddling time again, whoo-hooo..
I have been enjoying their company so much, the house is so empty and quiet today. It is wonderful to have a family to enjoy and cherish isn't it? I'm so glad that you have so many around you that love you both. Hugs to Betty and much love to you all. Take care and don't over exhaust yourselves.

A family pet is always a joy to have, and looking at the first picture of you and Hessa you can tell the bond of friendship is there.

I believe people who don't experience the joy of having a pet whether cat, dog, hamster, etc are really missing out on that special relationship.

The love is unconditional and animals forgive just a quick as they get mad. Human Beings could learn a lot from Animals.

Blessings to You and Betty.

We have a good 2+ inches of ice and sleet coating everything, and it's still coming down! We are due to get snow, 6-18 inches, this afternoon onwards. There is more than a small danger of loosing power, and this place is all electric. Please keep me and mine your prayers.

Great looking dogs. Hope Pidgeon Falls and it's railroad can be saved.

Let's see if Blogger's done having a fit. I tried to comment twice this morning and it wouldn't let me. Said it couldn't find you.

Cute doggies. Looks like you have a thing for Spaniels. For me, it's Poodles, but whatever breed, every house should have one.

What wonderful photos and memories, Dr. John. I'm sure Spanky will be adding many new memories, LOL.

I have to decide if I want a new dog. I have to decide by January 23 because I need to call the breeder then. We lost our Tasha four years ago - she was 16. My kids are both in college. My husband thinks a dog will tie us down. I want a dog. I don't know what to do :-(

I felt that way and homesick for a year or two after moving away from my hometown where I had lived for over 30 years. Now, I still get holiday cards, emails and I can visit my old friends and neighbors. However, the new friends and neighbors that I've met here I am glad that I did move. My life is so full with all of them. A big hug Dr. John for putting family first. =O)

A little off topic, Guys... I have a question. Last weekend I discovered this site:
Rivalspot.com - Playstation tournaments
They say you can play online Madden game tournaments on any console for cash... had anyone tried that before? Looks like a cool idea...
Are there any other sites where you can play sports games for real moneys? I Googled and found only Bringit.com and Worldgaming.com but it looks these guys don't specialize in sport gamez. Any suggestions?
