Sunday July 24
Saying for the day:Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
......Well Last Lutheran Church was full this morning and Pastor Marvel who knows a good thing when he sees one, preached on the rain. He said that "Just as the rain God sent caused our flowers to bloom so the Holy Spirit that God sends causes our dried up withered souls to bloom. The God who answered our prayer for rain will also answer our prayers for renewal" It was one of his better sermons and it was talked about in a lot of Pigeon Falls homes this afternoon.
Peter Linna made a quick trip to Pigeon Falls to see Eino and brought his daughter Bree along. She was talking to Mayor South when the Mayor asked if she had guessed who the celebrity was that was going to lead the Pigeon Days parade and whose initials were RM . She took one guess and from the look on Mayor South's face she hit the nail right on the head. The Mayor asked her not to tell anybody until after the official announcement. Bree is going from Pigeon Falls to stay for a week with her grandparents and she said she wouldn't even tell them. Her father tried to get the information from her on the way to her grandmother's but she refused to tell. That girl is pretty good at keeping secrets. Well I'll keep you informed as to what's happening in Pigeon Falls.
..........Good night last night, back on the big mask. We were awaken at 3:00 by heavy thunder but that only last fifteen minutes or so. This morning I brought the church web page up to date with new staff pictures. Then I went back to using the internet to look for possible apartment for January and February in Green Bay. After that Betty and I worked on the street lights for Pigeon Falls and she started painting a new house. Before we could finish either my son Peter and his family came and we talked for most of the afternoon. Luke didn't talk he spent his time playing cowboy and shooting up the place. Bree is staying with us for the week. We took them all out to eat at Fob's. Before they left Peter helped his mother put Wink's Woods back in its space on the layout. When they left Bree and I and Betty finished the street lights. Tomorrow we will put them in place and hang the Pigeon Days banner. If we want to finish this part of the layout by August we have a lot of work to do this week but Bree is here to help us so we might make it.
Well I need a breathing treatment.
