One of These Days

My bathtub door.
It is a marvelous invention for a person with bad legs.

This one opens into the tub.

My dragon was hoping I would take a bath. It loves baths.

The Days Wrap UP
After I posted the blog this morning I started searching on the internet for the song I wanted to use tomorrow. Then I spent the rest of the morning bring my elf tales up to date. It was short seven elf tales. Betty and I went to the basement and finished the plastering for the track. Tomorrow we put the track down again and try the train. I then visited blogs with door pictures and my links. Now I need a breathing treatment.

One of These Days

Some people have a to do list but I have a “ One of these days” list.

One of these days I’m going to:

1. Finish the layout and run the trains.
2. Order the train that will go around the plant barrel.
3. Scan in the rest of my photos.
4. Order all my pictures so I can find things when I want them.
5. Get my home movies transferred to the computer.
6. Get a Wisconsin drivers licensee.
7. Start a picture meme.
8. Get a new passport
9. Go to Finland
10. Write the ultimate blog.
11. Clean my computer desk
12. Get a portable oxygen compressor
13. Play a game on our WII machine.
14. Get rid of the programs on the computer that I never use.
15. Get a better digital camera
Yep! One of these days I’m going to do all those things. But not today.

News from Pigeon Falls
The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal. Petrovich published Driblet three hundred and twelve today. He is not at all sure what it means but it has the City of the Birds lead in. Here it is:
In the City of the Birds I see
An Old One who is not old
She has a secret that is not secret.
She will tell all but not all.
Pain , pain ! She is in pain.
Her name is not her name but is her name.
He confronts her.
Pain, pain! She is in pain.
Leave her alone. Leave her alone.
She does good .
One mistake. Just one mistake.
Pain, pain! She is in pain.
She has promises to keep. Promises!
Pain, pain! She is in pain.
Youth can not understand. Youth can hurt.
Promises to keep.
Pain, Pain! She is in pain.
I would help. But I can not.
Death alone can help. Only from death comes life.
Promises to keep. Promises.
Leave her alone.
She will run. She will hide.
She will be no more.
Pain, Pain! She is in pain.
I try to reach her.
I awaken.
I need a drink.

Now that's a great door. I really like the idea of a tub like that, and I can see your dragon does, too.

Driblet 312 is as cryptic as ever I see. Sounds like it just might refer to the Mayor.

Yes, it sounds like Tommy UK confronts Mrs Trumble. So Mrs Trumble runs away afterwards? Tommy best be prepared for that. Now to find out who she killed.

I'd steal your "one of these days" theme but these days - it's all can do to wrap my mind around the day I am given.

I'm doing better at this now. Plus - I'm all caught up on the little cleaning projects and smaller matters.

What I do need to do is set another long term goal and reach it. As of yesterday - my thoughts are leaning towards moving back NORTH!

I'd like that tub. We've added two new grab bars on our tub so that I can still take a bath. I love baths.

For the One of These Days you need to get a Round Tuit.

That saying today is absolute truth. Maybe that's why I'm always so tired!

I definitely see that tub door as being a very good thing. I also see that depth as making that tub a BEAR to clean!!! (speaking from an occasional cleaner's point of view!)

"To do" list, "one of these days" list, "bucket list" ... whatever! I just would NOT do all of those things in ONE day... I would spread them out over the course of several days. I definitely want to get all my home movies digitized too. HOW long have you lived in Wisconsin?

Boy howdy! Petrovich was almost too late with this driblet! I guess life is fixin' to turn upside down in good ol' Pigeon Falls... Poor Mayor... Can driblets ever be stopped from happening?

I don't make lists anymore cause looking at them make me tired and I'm afraid of what will happen when I finish. Like Peggy Lee sang "Is That All There Is?".

Congratulations to your 1'000 posts circle. I remember when you were at 800 post, I was at my 100th. And now I am at my some 278. I don't think I will ever catch up with you.

I've seen those bathtubs advertised and wondered if the water really stayed behind a door!

We all have lists, me included, I would maybe get some things done if everyday I didn't do as your comment suggests -'just not today.' :)

I have train doors today I think you might like.

The bathtub door is great. I guess we all have those uncompleted tasks that hang on. I've had some hanging on for decades, ha.

Dr John ~ I always seem to have a "One of these Days" list that I never seem to get to. If you complete your list let me know how you did it so I can concentrate on my list.

A Blessed Day is wished for you and Betty.

*DEEEEP sigh*... well, since you missed the boat on having Ella for Christmas, perhaps you would like to have her for EASTER! She is a Christian elephant, though she has not revealed if she's Lutheran or not... But she has been requesting to go to service with the families that she's staying with! :)

My Mother could benefit from one of these tubs. she had a hip replaced a few years back and she has a very hard time getting down into a tub, and she doesn't have a shower. I will suggest one to her and see what she says.

I'm sure I'll be needing one of those baths one day. They look extremely useful for us older folk.

Scan in the rest of my photos! Something we all should be doing.

Hi Dr John, I love the saying of the day and helps me to rethink my unfinished matter! Thanks for sharing.

By the way, the "dragon" is cute!

I do not understand that Driblet - it is intriguing but sad about the pain. Nice tub. My Mom could have used one like that when we went to Dublin, Ireland. The hotel had a deep bathtub much like yours only there was no door. Mom got stuck in it... too slippery to get out. I left her alone but waited anxiously outside the door, ready to give assistance, but she finally managed to get out. Embarrasing but funny too.
