More Internet Facts

Saying of the Day: Information on the Internet is subject to the same rules and regulations as conversation at a bar. ~George Lundberg

Internet True Facts. Below are fifteen facts you can tell people you read on the internet. One is really true. The others I made up this morning. But I’m pretty good at making things up so they could be true.

1.There are 48 different animal shapes in the Animal Crackers cookie zoo!

2.Your body is creating and killing 115 million red blood cells per second!

3.The king of hearts is the only king with a moustache on a standard playing card!

4.There is one slot machine in Las Vegas for every thirty inhabitants!

5.The Mona Lisa has no eyebrows.

6.Every day 120 banks are robbed. The average take is $2,500!

7. The most popular first name in the world is John.

8. Tablecloths were originally meant to be used as sheets with dinner guests being served in the bed room!

9. Forest fires move faster downhill than uphill !

10. Taphephobia is the fear of bad tap water.

11. The longest recorded flight of a chicken is 30 seconds!

12. The greenest grass ever grown was grown in Kentucky.

13. Ancient Egyptians slept on pillows made of cat fur. It was considered good luck.

14. The State of Florida is almost as big as England.

15. You were born with 300 bones but by the time you become an adult you have 405.

Can you guess which is the true fact?

#### News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal. Rudy Pradal, the former owner of the “Bird Seed” weekly paper came back from Arizona yesterday. He is helping his brother Bob sort through the old issues of the Bird Seed to put in the museum. They would like to have a complete set. There is no better history of the day to day life in Pigeon Falls than the old Bird Seed copies. Here are recorded birth and deaths of people and institutions. Here there are old pictures and the records of great events ( not that Pigeon Falls had any really great events). The coming and going of visitors like Frank Baum are recorded. The building of the yellow brick road and the controversy around it is all written down. There is even an editorial that said the Bull Frog Jupola should be ashamed of himself for sticking the town with those yellow bricks. Those old papers are history written as it happened. So they want the record to be as complete as possible.
Mayor Trumble is having the early council minutes copied so that people can see that part of Pigeon Falls life. There are a surprising number of five to four votes over those years. There is even an accusation that the councilman insisted be put in the minutes that Bull Frog had paid off one of the other council members for his vote. Those were wild times in the town’s history.

Today's Link-On a Limb with Claudia- Breeding will tell.
It rained most of the day here. Betty went to Bible study in the morning. I worked at renewing my link list. When she came home it was back to the basement. More stuff for the Good will box. Another garbage bag got filled. Then we took pictures of the Nintendo cartridges to put on eBay. I then listed them for sale. Now I need a breathing treatment.

Fear of tap water. Pft! The word is real, but your definition is false -- unless the taps are broken and pumping the room full of mud .....

At first I thought it was the one about slot machines in Vegas, but then I decided that there are probably waaaay more machines than that. So now I think the truth is that the Mona Lisa has no eyebrows.

Hey, thanks for the link. I've seen your posts on other sites. I'll add you to my blogroll and check in again - I like funny people.

Speaking of funny, do you think Miss Lisa had a thyroid condition or that was the style of the day? Since she's Italian, you have to figure she's hairy....

There are two true facts. You obviously stumbled on an extra one by accident. And isn't grass in Kentucky blue?

I don't know if John is the most famous name in the world, but it is probably the most used as a boys name. Either that or Mike.

Many sound like they could be true.......but then I am not the type of person who would know. haha.

Great list, they sound very convincing lol. I'd agree that ML has no eyebrows but is the grass really greenest in KY? I second the motion that it's really blue :-).
