Wish Upon a Star
Saying for the day: Stop the habit of wishful thinking and start the habit of thoughtful wishes. Mary Martin
I visited the blog of the Lone Grey Squirrel the other day. He had a meme where you got to wish upon a star. I thought that's a good idea so here is my wish.
If you want to wish along here is what you need to do.
1. Think about what it is that you want more than anything, what your heart’s desire and fondest wish is, and what it is that you would wish for if you were to see the above wishing star flame across the night sky.
2. Right click and SAVE the blank graphic below.
3. Use a graphics program of your choice and place your wish on this picture:
4. Post the Make A Wish Meme and your wishing star on your blog along with these rules.
5a. If you tag people then Tag as many people as you like so that there can be wishing stars all across the Blogosphere and ask them to please link back to Linda at Are We There Yet? so that she can see what wishes others have made and share those wishes with others.
5b. If you don't tag people invite your readers to do the meme and link back to Linda at Are We There Yet?so that she can see what wishes others have made and share those wishes with others.
You know I don't tag so consider yourself invited.
#### News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal. Today is bring an artifact to church day at Last Lutheran. Pastor Joan has asked everybody to look through their old stuff and bring pictures or books or things that pertain to the history of the church… She hopes to get a good collection for the new museum.
She has discovered that the four Lutheran Churches she knew had existed were really five. There was a Swedish Lutheran, A Finnish Lutheran, a German Lutheran, and an Apostolic Lutheran. The members of the Apostolic Lutheran got into a fight over some small point of doctrine and divided into two. ( The standing joke in town was that Apostolics multiply by dividing) So there were five Lutheran Churches if you count the two Apostolic Lutherans. They shared the same building and each put a padlock on it. They had to agree who was using the building and one of the other group had to be there with their key to let them in. There was no trust. Pastor Joan has one of those padlocks.
The Apostolic Lutheran Churches kept losing members until there weren’t enough left to keep a Pastor. The building was sold and converted into a nice home. If they had worked together they might still be a vital active congregation.
Tommy UK acolytes this morning. That always makes Pastor Joan nervous. She still remembers the exploding candles. But lately Tommy UK has been on his very best behavior. But then again there is often a calm before the storm.

Any day I get to go to Church is a good day. We went this morning. The Choir sang well. The sermon was good. The Pastor's daughter did an interpretive dance of the Psalm which he read. My daughter assisted at communion. It was a great day. After the service I got to fellowship with a member that has an autistic son. This is really Pennie's area so she did most of the talking. When we came home Pennie took Maggie out to the dog park. Maggie had a great time. Then Betty and Pennie went shopping whiole I put all of today's pictures onto St. Mark's website.
Now I need a breathing treatment.

Pastor Joan needs to make sure that Tommy UK is not scheduled to be acolyte on Pentecost Sunday.
A lovely wish indeed - thank you so much for playing along with this meme!
Blessings to you!
Couldn't I just add an Amen to your wish?
Great wish meme, very pretty and makes you think.
If nothing else, the Apostolic Lutherans provided a good lesson on the value of working together.
