The Drawing

Saying for the day: In life there are winners and losers but some times it is hard to tell which is which.
So today we return to the Friday drawing. Can't you just feel the suspense?
( That was a rhetorical question not meant to be answered)
Here is the priceless prize of the day:
It is a genuine music box and collectible. It may have magic qualities in that it can bring joy where there is sadness. It is a little out of focus because of the magic. We will draw for it when Betty gets up and I have finished adding yesterdays chances in. Good luck to everybody who commented last week.

@@@@ News from Pigeon Falls- the little town in my garage where the trains still run, dragons fly, and Alex still sleeps- They airlifted Alex Mattson to Mayo's yesterday. He is still sleeping and the doctors in Iron Mountain are just plain stumped. The flight went well and Alex is now in the hospital In Rochester. If anybody can find out what is wrong with him the doctors at Mayo's can. Alex , you remember , died in The Dream, and since then they haven't been able to awaken him He has had scans and x-rays and they have taken enough of his blood to feed a vampire bat but haven't located the problem. Now all of Pigeon Falls waits to see what the results of his visit to Mayo's will be. Nellie Matson who is a niece of Alex went to Mayo’s with him and is keeping people informed of what is taking place. Nellie is amazed at the technical innovations of Mayo’s. Every room has a little computer screen and the doctor can call up the patient’s test results and what other specialists have said. At least she thinks that’s what they are doing. She would hate to think they were playing Tetris. Through all this Alex continues to sleep.
Alex’s dog Juniper misses him something terrible. It cries all the time ands won’t eat. They don’t know what to do for it. Esther Kivi has offered to take it to Rochester if they would let it in the room. It would be a real shame for Alex to wake up and find out that his dog had died.
Despite Mayor Trumble’s pep talk and the appearance of the big White Rabbit people are getting real nervous as Saturday morning and The Dream approach. The fact that Alex still sleeps has done nothing to help with that.

Today's Link-Coming out of The Dark- Today she has a meme so you can get to know about her.( If she tells the truth) Leave a true Dr. John in the comment to get a chance for next Friday's drawing.

Betty is up. The drawing is over.

The winner is:

Margaret.

Congratulations Margaret. Margaret had more chances than anybody else because she put a lot of Dr. John's on the Links. Start now getting your chances for next week's drawing.
WE ordered the walk in bath tub today. We got one with all the bells and whistles at a very reasonable price from a company that was a real pleasure to deal with. I watched my soaps. I called Peter and made plans to go to the Synod Convention tomorrow. Betty will go to Peter's. Now we have to find somebody to install a walk in tub. I need a breathing treatment.

I am so tired I envy Alex! No school, no Sidewalk and no work tomorrow. I may sleep all day, dream or not! (But my report cards have all been written.)

Oooh. This must be my lucky week. Maybe I should go and get a Lotto ticket? I've won two blogging contests and in the process of trying to win a local another. =O) Thank you for the opportunity Dr. John.

oh but to win it all
and still to be left cold

or to gain the world
and yet lose one's soul

If there's no guinness it cannot be paradise said the irishman to the teetoler

If there's a hangover the next day, you know you are not in paradise said one irishman to another 1

Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all?

Better not to be hurt or sad at all

Alas it seems there cannot be pleasure without pain, nor great joy without ensuing loss (of joy)

Everything is so ephemeral
Passing away before our very eyes
how do we know what is real, how do we know the memory we hold is true, and which memories shall we choose to behold - all things told
