The Real Me

Saying for the Day- Sometimes others see you as you really are, but not often.

I was at Quilly’s blog the other day and she had taken one of those wonderful internet tests that tell you all about yourself. In this one you draw a picture and answer a few questions . It did such a good job for Quilly I thought I would try it. Here is my picture and the results.

You are driven and ambitious and tend to make radical moves to reach your goals.
You are a thoughtful and cautious person. You like to think about your method, seeking to pursue your goal in the most effective way.
You like following the rules and being objective. You are precise and meticulous, and like to evaluate decisions before making them.
You have a sunny, cheerful disposition.
As you can see this describes me perfectly ( don’t ask Betty about the sunny, cheerful disposition).

@@@@News from Pigeon Falls-the little town in my garage where the trains still run, dragons fly, and the Mayor worries about garbage.-The landfill that Pigeon Falls has used forever is just about full and the state inspector has announced that it must be closed by September. That announcement came yesterday and last night the Town Council met to consider the garbage problem. Its not that it was not obvious to anyone that visited the land fill that this day was coming but the Council had been doing a good job of ignoring it. But now they can ignore it no longer. Whatever they decide the cost of having garbage is going to go up. There are several companies in the UP that will take Pigeon Falls garbage for a price. But that price is well above what it is costing to dispose of garbage now. It would seem that the only option the Council has is to deal with both companies and get the best possible price. Mrs. Trumble said that she read in Popular Science about a company out East that could build them a plant that could serve all of Upper Michigan. It would take all garbage. There would be no unusable residue. There would be no land fill. A byproduct of the process is electricity and Hydrogen gas. The cost of such a plant is $250 million . The council decided to start negotiations with the landfills and to pursue a federal grant for the processing plant. They might get some other towns to go in with them. Sometimes even procrastination councils make good decisions.

Today's link-Leesa's Stories- a little different look at Mother's Day- levae a DR. John in the comment.
Wasted day. The company that is putting in my ride a chair sent it and everything to go with it. It arrived today and the truck left it on my front steps. It was far too heavy for us to lift and we coudn't leave it there so I spent a good part of the day trying to find somebody to move it and waiting for people to call back. Finally at about 6:00 the man who will be putting it in came and moved it to the garage. Now I need a breathing treatment.

"....you tend to make radical moves to reach your goal." It only appears that way because outsiders don't always see that faith bridge you're standing on.

The town council also needs to consider turning the landfill into a ski hill. I think the dragon and poltergeist would have fun with that -- put them to work as the ski lift for the skiers.

"Don't ask Betty about the sunny, cheerful disposition" that's funny. I'm sure you are sunny and cheerful when you need or want to be. ;) At least you can follow rules. I tend to break them - Bad Bella. Bad, bad, bad Bella.

I really like how you write each blog entry. Three different, distinct topics. The main issue, the news from Pigeon Falls (your garage) and the link of the day. Clever.

Thanks for the link. And I am sorry to hear about the garbage in your garage.

Dr. John, your little drawing is actually quite good..! I'm going to try it myself later.

And I'll bet if we asked Betty, she would say you have a sunny disposition :-)
