Monday all over again

Saying for the Day: A kind comment is like a drink of cold water on a hot day.

It’s hard to believe but it’s Monday again.
The week goes by faster and faster.
Of course it is “leave a comment Monday” where you leave a comment on every blog you visit.
No , just getting your blog express 30 seconds and rushing on.
It is time to read and comment.

Today is also the time for our regular drawing and today we have a priceless bell. If you need to summon your fairy godmother then this magical bell is just the thing.
Every home should have a bird bell.

If Nea isn’t drawn this morning we will be adding these two houses to the Prize Box. Actually we add them even if she is drawn. The village in the box is growing. The box is getting heavier and heavier. Somebody has to win it soon. If nobody has by Thursday we will draw five names. Somebody is going to win.
Wednesday we run our third blogging marathon. We have made arrangements with the Theological University Online to give Dr. Of Blogging degrees to whoever makes 30 or more visits.
I persuaded the faculty that nice comments were like community service to the blog community.

So leave me a comment!

News from Pigeon Falls– the little town in my backyard where the train still runs and old ladies carry shotguns.– No White Rabbit yesterday and no White Rabbit so far today but lots of people are hopping it will show sometime today.
Eino sent Bree pictures taken right after the White Rabbit was “shot”. She told Eino she thinks Mrs. Trumble is lying but she can’t figure out why. Eino said that Bree’s desire to keep the White Rabbit alive has clouded her judgment. But Bree says there is no evidence of any kind of fire. In this world things don’t just vanish. The logical conclusion is that Mrs. Trumble is lying but now we have to figure out why.
Tommy, the undertaker’s kid says he is beginning to believe she did shoot the rabbit. In his book that makes her a villain not a hero. He said she is a bit crazy but she wouldn’t lie.
The street dance is still scheduled for tonight. I think everybody expects the dragon to show up and some hope the White Rabbit will too.
There was some excitement over at Jack’s Sauna yesterday afternoon. This lady went in to take a sauna and then started to scream. As soon as she got some clothes on she confronted Jack. The bucket said “Boy your getting fat” and then it moved . Jack was sure that Tommy was up to something again. When he went in the bucket was just sitting there upside down. Suddenly it said “How are you?” Jack picked up the bucket and there was Mrs. Kivi’s parrot. Nobody seems to know how it got there but Jack still thinks Tommy had something to do with. Mrs. Kivi was glad to get her parrot back. Jack said it was kind of funny as the lady was a little on the plump side.
Eino tried calling the Chicago company this morning but there was no answer but then it's Labor Day so he will try again tomorrow.

Today's Link: Jane Doe's Musings- Remeber to leave the words Dr. John in the comment to get those confused but cute JCPOINTS. Check your points HERE.
Yesterday we drew Nea if Betty draws her name again today she gets what's in the PRIZE BOX.
Betty will draw when she gets up.

Betty has arisen and the slips for yesterday are cut in. She draws and the name is

Margaret -sorry Nea (sorry Bree, sorry Esther) If Margaret gets drawn tomorrow she gets what's in that darn prize box. Good luck Margaret

Now the drawing for the bells.

Quilldancer
and ...

Kristi . Congratulations .
. WE spent the day at home and we didn't do much. Betty packed up some more things for the move that looks less and less likely. I did some more work on the church website including a new top ten list. Had the other half of my anniversary steak for lunch. It was almost as good as it was at the restaurant. Well I need a breathing treatment.

Wow! A bell for me! Thank you! I was just thinking they were so cute!

And everyday of the week -- not just Monday -- I read and leave comments on all the blogs I visit. Otherwise, what is the point in visiting them?

Of course, I'm a talker -- I am, I am.

when i was recuperating from my accident, the social worker instructed me to get a bell so i can ring for help or company. since everyone was usually in the first level and i in the second and my screams could only get me so far..it ended up being a great help. i still use it today when i call on the kids and they are down in the other levels of the home or instead of calling out 5 names...

Mrs. Trouble, he,he, is probably lonely and wanted some extra attention. or worse, she is a spy to the company who dealt with the hermit and is following their instructions.
the parrot thing is hillarious! now, i know they don't mind a good heat and humidity but to be stuck under the bucket in a sauna?? glad, he didn't die or they be having a funeral service today..yikes!

hope you are alright. take care. read you tomorrow.

Dr John, your tales of Pigeon Falls never fail to cheer me up. We have many pigeons here in Hull, but they all live on the top of department stores. I guess they'll never know the delights experienced by their US bretheren. Keep up the good blog.

I'm glad the parrot turned up. That would have been funny/surprising/a bit scary to run into a talking bucket.
