Six Words

Today's Saying

I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer. ~Jim Carrey

My scooter my door to world.

(Click on the Pigeon Falls Graphic for previous chapters.)

It is Saturday and time to look back on another week in Pigeon Falls. Despite all the planning and plotting concerning the coming aliens life went on pretty much as normal in Pigeon Falls.
Monday- Grandma Moose hung up her washing and did the spit thing with the bouncing heads. She is really getting to like them and the spit has just done wonders for her arthritis.
Tuesday- Bonnie McGregor's daughter came to stay for a week so that Bonnie and her husband could take a mini vacation away from the twins. The family paid for the parents to stay at the Ramada Inn in Marquette and just rest with a pool.
Wednesday- A hungry bear got one of Jon Bergall's cows. First time that has happened since he started farming there. The DNR came and live trapped the bear and moved it far away from the farm.
Thursday-Jack announced he might be closing his Sauna for good this winter and moving to Florida. The news was more disturbing than the possible alien invasion.
Friday- Tommy TW told Nancy, his wife, that when he finishes his current novel he is going to write one about a poltergeist in a coffee shop. Nancy told him nobody would read it as it is too unbelievable.

My SIX WORDS are:
*My life, my son and I*

I love this post Dr, It's always so amusing to read your feedback of the week.
And for the saying > quite right!

Jim Carrey is right on with that one.

I heard that the bear that ate Bergall's cow was released in the back country unharmed. They put a radio collar on it to make certain it never gets near human habitation again.

A few years ago, there was a black bear in Chippewa Falls. In town, by the high school, and in my brother's yard. They had to stay in the car til he wandered off. I like bears, mostly the Teddy kind!

The six word idea is sort of like a psych game.

Understanding the scooter more after visiting extensively in the nursing home the last three days. The man next to my mom is allowed to go out all over with his scooter, to the park and in the neighborhood, etc. I was amazed at how much range he has and how fast he goes.

My dad used to say

your hide's gone from Pigeon Falls.

Those chairs are in the process of being taken apart for cleaning and storage. Only a few tough bolts are holding them together.

Happy 6WS!

I'm so glad that you have your scooter.

And I agree with the quote to a certain extent. All that stuff is not the answer. And I certainly have no desire to be famous, but that doesn't mean that having the means and opportunity to follow one's dreams isn't enjoyable. I'm sure that poor folks would appreciate not having to endure the stress and worry of ever day.

I know a few people with scooters and they love them. They truly feel a sense of independence they didn't feel before the scooter.

I'm thinking of trying the spit thing if it helps so much with arthritis.

Perhaps Mr. Carrey would feel better about his fame and fortune if he spread it around to those who needed it more than he does. Not saying I don't appreciate his talent - but aren't they all overpaid?

Scooters are sooo important to people who would lack independence otherwise :)

I had no idea bears would eat cows. I do know that they eat small children - at least that's what my parents always told me so I wouldn't wander off into the woods alone.

Thanks for playing 6WS!

I love your comments! I look forward to reading them on everyone's post each week...you have away with words! Love your scooter, too. The mother-in-law has one, I haven't tried it, but my sons say it "moves pretty good"! Happy Scootin' Kathy in GA

Hurray for scooters!

I love Jim Carrey's quote; but oh wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to test its truth LOL.

Good luck to everyone in Pigeon Falls; I do hope that poltergeisted coffee shop gets written about after all.

I always smile when I see one of those scooters being used. To think how limited the laternatives were at one time. There's nothing like getting a little freedom back!
