It is a Quilly day. Time to take Quilly’s words for the day and write a story. This week Quilly says we can take any three or more words from the thirty six words she has given us. I picked five and then used a few other words I found sitting around doing nothing.
Click on a word for a definition.

Charles Lee the music zoilist at the local paper maintained in a very invidious article that the local orchestra had not hit a single mellifluous note in it’s entire hitonious performance. The day after the paper came out the director of the orchestra proclaimed in the local bar that he was going to kill Charles with his bare hands if got the chance. Charles who was something of a niddering demanded police protection or that the director be arrested but there was a paucity of activity in either area. His editor suggested that a retraction might be in order and that in the future he might write less senticous articles.
Instead Charles decided to obarmate himself and bought a colt 45. He would not be caught defenseless.
The next night, however, everything changed as the Director was shot to death in front of the local oporopolist . Other than the owner there seemed to be no witnesses and the old man swore he didn’t see the shooter. He heard somebody arguing in the street and as he went to see what was happening a bullet came through his window and broke his lemonade cooler. He ducked for cover behind the counter. It seemed likely he was telling the truth.
Forensics determined the bullet was fired from a colt 45. It was further discovered that Charles had purchased a Colt 45 the day before at a local gun shop. This was enough to bring Charles in for questioning . He said that he was home alone the previous evening and just sat and got drunk., he having no castuali. When asked about the gun he swore the gun was at home in the drawer next to his bed. The police officer sent to retrieve it couldn’t find it.
The District Attorney was no foppotee but was lazy and decided they had an open and shut case against Charles. She had him arrested immediately. The police chief was not so sure.
To be continued tomorrow.

Of course the dragons will be busy today you can see them HERE.
News from Pigeon Falls
The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal
By Wednesday afternoon they were beginning to wonder if the demon was ever coming back. Perhaps it had taken stock of the situation and fled knowing they were too powerful for it. Most of the people of Pigeon Falls were gone. They had left for the safety of relatives in nearby towns. A few of the regulars from the Fly Inn were still around they wanted to see the fight. Some even bet on it. They didn’t bet on who would win but how long their heroes would take to polish off the villain.
Tommy UK took Herman aside and pointed out that against the demon the army would be of little use and the men in black had proven when they tried to fight Mark that they would be of no help. So in the end it would be just him and Herman. Did Herman think they could win.
Herman pointed out they had defeated the demon once before and Tommy was stronger now. On the other hand the demon seemed bigger and more powerful. But as Herman saw it there were no choices. They were all the town had.
Suddenly the Demon was there and soon the battle would begin.
But first the demon announced :” If you surrender and accept me as God and King I will let you live and not destroy your little town. But if you oppose me I will not only crush you like bugs but I will wipe Pigeon Falls from the face of the earth. The future of the town is in your hands”.
Herman answered “ We are free people and we bow to no one except the one true God. You are a lying demon and your word is of no value. This time we will have to destroy you.”
The Demon laughed , a laugh that could be heard for three counties.
“ Then let the battle begin”, it said.”Let the battle begin”

Wrap UP
It was a frustrating day. My sister and I talked twice about the up coming auction and how nobody will answer questions about the house. I visited everybody on Quilly's linksy. I visited most of my friends list. Betty and I went to set up a thing to hang plants on. Six inches down we hit hard clay. We tried drilling into it with a plant auger but no luck. From there things just got worse. Now I need a breathing treatment.

You have an amazing imagination!

Perhaps you would be interested in a word a day, in which an email with a new word is sent each day.
I actually have that link right now.

When I have days like that I like to go back to bed and curl up with God! It helps. Might not get the planter planted ... but it still helps. But ya never know... sometimes a NEW idea is provided!

Does Dawn live near enough the house to go speak with the realtor in person?
