Flash Fiction 55 -Robbery

I live in a high crime area.
Every Tuesday they break into my house and steal irreplaceable stuff.

I called the police but they're too busy to help me. They have murders and bank robberies to solve.
I am on my own . This week they struck again. They took one
of my very valuable

socks.

_________________________________________________________________

Since I discovered it was okay I am writing a second flash 55 which will be a continuous story but a complete story every week. Here then is the fourth chapter in the exciting ongoing adventures of Sir Laughsalot and Robberhood

The Knight with one hand was sent to fight Robberhood and his laughing band. He chopped down arrows with his sword. They stopped laughing. But then they shot him in the leg and down he fell. Now he is the one arm one leg Knight. Still he wants to fight and that is no laughing matter.

Yesterday I started a story which I promised to continue today. For those of you into flash 55 I have kept the continuation to 55 words.

Poor Charles sat alone in his cell. Nobody came to visit not even his editor.
As a zoilist with never a good word for anybody he had no friends. But ineluctable truth had been his passion, at least truth as he saw it.
But his truth was of very little comfort in the tenebrous cell.

The story continues tomorrow.
Of course the dragons will be busy today you can see them HERE.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

News from Pigeon Falls
The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal
As soon as the demon laid down the challenge the man in the tank fired. A missile capable of penetrating a one foot wall of solid steel and blowing it to bits hurtled toward the demon. The man in the tank was sure that nothing could withstand such a missile, It was the armies best. But halfway to the demon the missile just stopped and hung in the air. Then it turned and flew straight up bursting overhead like a rocket on the fourth of July. At that point the tank began to glow and the driver and assistant leaped out as the tank began to melt and soon was a big puddle on the street.
That’s when the men in black stepped up and fired their strange weapons. There was a flash and streams of what looked like lightning were directed at the demon. The demon smiled and the lightning turned and flowed back into the weapons from which it had come and the weapons simply disappeared.
While this was happening Tommy UK was trying to find the rope. He looked at and around the demon as hard as he could. Then suddenly, it was as if he had a new pair of eyes. He could see coming from the demon over a hundred pipes or vines or ropes. They couldn’t be seen by the naked eye but somehow Tommy could see them. He knew he didn’t have much time and so he followed it in his mind until it stopped in the middle of Jon Bergall’s field. Then he sent a burst of power into the end of it and a doorway to another dimension opened and three cows came out.
It was as if the Demon suddenly knew what Tommy was doing and he sent a huge burst of power in Tommy’s direction. Tommy blocked it with his ring and the battle was on. Herman raised his hand and sent a power burst at the demon and the demon countered with one of his own. At first it looked liked the foes were equal in power and they thought they could wear the demon down. But as the battle raged the demon seemed to grow stronger. Tommy and Herman were no longer sure they could hold out.
Could this be the end of Pigeon Falls?

Wrap UP
Pretty good day today. I visited a lot of blogs that wrote flash 55 stories. That was fun. Helped Betty get ready for the Church Tea. She and Pennie have gone to the Mother's day tea. I visited all the blogs that left a comment yesterday. Now I need a breathing treatment,

A sock? Failing to breed? Most socks proliferate at an alarming rate - but only as a completely different species each time, in order for individuality to reign. No two will therefore ever be found to be alike...
Golden rule of sock drawer.

You hid your money in your sock? LOL

The one armed on legged knight reminds me of the knight in The Holy Grail who ended up with just his head and torso but bravely fought on! :)

Good Flash 55. I didn't do one this week. I just didn't think of one. PS, I think the sock monster took the sock, or maybe the dryer ate it.

You should immediately request Popeye to send some of his spinach cans to Tommy and Herman. Brute might change his mind and support them.
