Agent 012 writhes again

Picture of the Day
Monday Fun Day( Show us your Feet)

A Picture Story from Jeff's Portrait of Words

Agent 012 was having a grand time at the blogging convention. He was listening to people share their blogging experiences and some were pretty funny. He had decided just to listen since as a highly trained Agent he was very good at listening and because he didn’t know enough about blogging to talk.
He always obeyed his father’s rule,” When you know nothing it is best to say nothing”.
As he listened to the speakers he thought it was too bad some of them had never met his father.
Soon after he began walking around and listening he spotted the two mute agents. They were realatively nice looking young ladies. He first saw them from the back and had worked around to get a front view. They were the one’s in the pictures in his envelope. He was sure of that.
He listened to them as over and over they invited bloggers to come to their company conference center when the convention ended for the day. It was , they said, a beautiful building nestled in the woods not far from here. It had a huge fireplace that they could sit in front of and swap blogging stories without any boring lectures intruding. Not only that but there was a big pot of stew with only the freshest vegetables and meat cooking on the stove and a fully equipped free bar. What more could you ask?
It seemed most of the people were looking forward to a night of gambling in the casino but thirty of them counting Agent 012 decided to go along to the center.
The center was every bit as beautiful as the girls said it would be. The smell of really good stew filled the place and soon everyone was relaxing and sharing blog stories. A number of people asked him where he had gotten the idea for his blog title from. He said that he was standing at the lost and found counter in the local variety store looking for his winter hat and trying to think of a title for the Blog he was about to start when it hit him. Why not call it “ Lost and Found in Cyberspace”. It was a good title too because for the first year he really was lost. He had to learn so much. Others then began to tell stories of their first attempts at blogging and he was off the hook.
Sometime later Sandra, one of the Mute agents excused herself saying she had a short errand to run and left through the front door. Agent 012 then went to the back of the Center where the bathrooms were but instead of entering one of them he went out the back door and followed Sandra down a very narrow path. She reached an old rusted out school bus and disappeared. He went closer and discovered the windows were frosted so you couldn’t see inside and it wasn’t in anywhere near the bad shape that it looked like from a distance. Inside he could hear voices.
He took out his extra ear and put it in without noticing that the ear was facing a crow whose loud caw almost deafened him. He turned and put his ear against the bus. Now he could hear plainly what they were saying inside . It was just at that moment, however, that he heard with his other ear the snap and then he felt the pain. He had stepped into an old fashioned bear trap.
This was not going to be his day.

News from Pigeon Falls
The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal
Yesterday after Church Tommy UK sat down with his father in the game room while his mother did the dishes.
He said to him “ Dad! Mrs. Trumble said to tell you “it is time to tell me.”
His dad thought for a moment and then said “ Tommy it is possible that this is the time but I’m not sure. Let me talk to Mrs. Trumble and we will talk tomorrow.”
Now poor Tommy is even more confused. He not only doesn’t know anything about the rock but he doesn’t know what all this talk of this being the time is all about. Nor does he know why his dad needs to talk to Mrs. Trumble. Day by day things just seem to get worse.
Ted Mattson has a black eye this morning. The result of the fracas on Saturday night at the Fly Inn. It has since been explained to him that Numismatics is not something bad but had to do with his interest in the quarter. In the future he is resolved to be exhibit more perspicacious judgment. Of course he wouldn’t say that because he doesn’t know what perspicacious means. If you told him he that he had such judgment he would probably sock you for that. This would be particularly true if he was at the Fly Inn and it was late at night.
The Tommy Club is wondering if the man in black was somehow responsible for the demon that Herman defeated. He always seems to show up in time of crisis.

Wrap UP
Just a note to remind you that a second story based on these pictures (with a nod to Quilly and something for Melli)will be posted tomorrow written alternate sentence by alternate sentence by Betty and I. Betty and I did two things together today and we are both still alive and unmarked. First we did the story which you can read tomorrow . Here she ruined a perfectly good story I had in my head and took us who knows where. But that wasn't bad. Then we did our taxes. Neither one of us is well organized so this is high stress stuff. But they are now done and e-filed. When you subtract what we owe Wisconsin from what we are getting back from the IRS we came out about $120 to the good. But we are done.
I had enough time left to visit the blog of everyone who left a comment yesterday. Now I need a breathing treatment.

Oh my gosh! Did 012 SCREAM? How could he NOT scream!? OUCH! I wonder if he'll have to cut off his own foot to get out of it....

Pooooooor Tommy. I hope his Dad gets this worked out and tells him whatever it is! He's a grown boy... I'm SURE he can handle it.... maybe.

Congrats on comin' out on the PLUS side with the IRS! I hope we do!

I can't wait to read your other story tomorrow now! I was HERE parked on your page for about 5 or 6 hours today -- but nobody would give me 5 minutes to read you! I even MISSED Punny Monday today - can you BELIEVE it? Sheeeesh!

I am just now getting to read the last part of your post. Everytime I would come here something else pulled me away.

That is an interesting photo of your four feet?

I am glad that you and Betty have survived the co-writing session, completed your taxes and had your breathing treatment.

I hope that Tommy can handle whatever it is that his dad has to tell him.

I look forward to reading the rest of the story.
