Saying for the day-
It's time for the internet contest that requires no postage and handling fee.
The contest that requires no credit card.
The contest that has no cumbersome blanks to fill out.
The contest that is very slow at sending out prizes.
The contest that doesn't even require your correct name.
Every Friday we give away priceless prizes to some lucky person who commented on this blog in the week gone by.
Today's Priceless Prize is this beautiful brown stapler.
But not just the stapler a matching staple remover.
And 1000 ( count them) staples.
THE RULES:( Very important)
To take part in the contest you must
1: Have commented on at least one entry on this blog in the last week.
2: Be willing to supply your mailing address.
For every day that you left a comment we write your name on a slip of paper that is placed in our rose colored drawing bowl. So if you commented every day you could have 7 slips in the bowl.
( The more slips the higher your chance to win)
Next Betty or her designated replacement draws one of those slips and that person wins the Priceless Prize.
If you don't like porcelain take a chance on a door.
Behind one of our two doors today are three rejected priceless prizes.
A little Indian statue
A Camel in a globe
A tiny little bear
Behind the other ...........
.@@@@ News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal.
Every November Horatio Gilman, the town geek does his rather strange and even alarming orange meditation. This year he is concentrating mightily on some of Einstein’s obscure theories. As he cuts and eats exactly 1/42 of an orange, no more no less, he works through a plethora of details in his mind. Though the orange meditation began with the hippie community Horatio opines that it allows any mind to operate unfettered and by some frickin miracle discover the wonder of the universe.
Yeah, this year Horatio had deduced that with $25.00 and a treadmill you could cause a rift in the universe through which things from a parallel dimension could pass into ours. This would explain where the dragon, poltergeist, and big white rabbit came from. also needs to spend more time on his studies at Yale and less time meditating.
Tommy UK on the other hand thinks the theory has some merit.

Today's Link-I Love You Too Much- Today a funny story about a brother by a pain in the butt sister.
Just a note that today's Pigeon Falls episode contains all the words from Cindraella's Contest.
Betty ha
Eino says that is the stupidest thing he has heard yet and that Horatio needs a new orange. Hes returned with the dog.
She has stirred up the slips in the orange bowl.
She is drawing a slip.
And the winner is....
Ta Ta Da Duh
Annette Burkett
Congratulations Annette.
Well it was a good day. In the morning we got the items I sold on eBay yesterday wrapped. We also got an early Christmas gift for my sister Dawn. Betty took them all to the Post Office. In the afternoon I worked in the basement . Just a note that Bree is out of the hospital and seems to be doing fine. My three grandsons are coming tonight. Tomorrow we go to Trainfest. Now I need a breathing treatment,

Well, I have a purple stapler already, so I think I'll pick...hmmmmmm...door number 2!
I am not sure what I find funnier -- that Pigeon Falls had a hippie community or that Dr. John used the word frickin in his story.
i like the word frickin. i think it has much attitude yet it is not nasty or anything.
congrats to Annette. it seems her fortune is all good, may she keep on winning in all aspects of her life.
hoping Brea is home, resting and well. hoping your lungs are doing well.
have a good wknd to all of you. hugs and our love.
I am so glad to hear the Bree is out of the hospital; one of my boys had Asthma, and watching someone not be able to breate is the most scarey thing.....
best wishes to you and yours over the HOliday season....

Hi, I just came over from Cindra's. That Pigeon Falls story is great. How come you didn't submit it to the contest?
