A Good deed. Indeed!

Saying for the day:A good deed is like peeing in your pants. Everyone knows you did it, but only you can feel it's warmth.

I stopped by Stacy’s blog yesterday. She had this wonderful suggestion that as we went around making our Christmas preparations we pick up a Christmas card or two and send it to:

A Recovering American soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

If you think this is a good idea pass it on.

.@@@@ News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal.– Tonight is the Festival of Lighting. Everyone is invited down town to watch as the Christmas decorations are placed on the town’s six light poles. While this is happening the Liar’s Club sixty three piece band will play and the Methodist ladies will sell hot pasties. The Youth of Last Lutheran will be selling Hot Cider. After the poles are decorated then the lights will be put on the town Christmas Tree, that’s the big Spruce tree just behind the Gazebo . After that their will be parties, one at Last Lutheran, one at the Masonic Hall, and one, of course, at the Fly Inn.
Starting tomorrow Mayor Trumble is inviting people to bring in personal ornaments to hang on the tree. They must be ornaments with a name on them like Bob or Sue, or the Johnsons. The ornaments are to be brought to the Town Hall and the town crew will put them on the tree.
Mrs. Trumble has a blown glass dragon, on which the words Dragon Slayer have been painted, that she will hang. Eino and Toivo have an ornament shaped like a car on which the names Eino & Toivo appear. Nancy has an ornament shaped like a coffee cup that says Nancy.
It will be a very impressive tree.

Today's Link-Startling Stories- See a poor little kid become a frog.
A pretty good day today. In the morning Betty and I continued to work in the basement. I put together another group of items to sell on eBay. I still haven't found the missing G scale boxes but they have to be here somewhere. In the afternoon Pennie, Betty, and I went shopping. we went to Steins and Menards. We bought all kinds of figures for the new layout. Betty really enjoyed herself. She is designing an extended tunnel entrance on one side. Then it looks like there will be a ski hill coming down next to it. I baked some Max bread. Now I need a breathing treatment.

That's a great idea, I'll save that for my list. I "borrowed" your meme from a few days ago. If you want it back, just let me know.
