Lets do a Marathon

Saying for the day: Some times winning is just staying in the race.

Welcome baqck from your fourth of July celebration.
Today we invite you to join in a JC Marathon.
At the end of this section you will be able to access a list of names.
Clicking on a name will take you to that person's blog.
The purpose of the marathon is to visit as many blogs as possible from the list .
For each blog visited in which you leave a comment with the words Dr. John you will get 3 JC points.
This is your chance to accumulate a large number of usless points. ( They do give you a better chance to win priceless JC prizes.)
Also anyone visting twenty or more blogs will receive 10 blog cards . These will contain your logo , your blog name, and your URL. You can give them to friends, neighbors, or complete strangers on the street.
The marathon ends at 6:30 Thursday morning.

News from Pigeon Falls- The little town in my backyard-Pastor Marvel and the Methodist Pastor put aside theological differences and ran together in the three legged race at the big town picnic. They won. It was a triumph for ecumenical cooperation.
One of those papers that you read while standing in the grocery store line ran an article on the demonic white rabbit of Pigeon Falls. I think they must have talked just to Mrs. Trumble. In any case Pigeon Falls got a few more visitors because of it. Robert whose Taxi business was going no place is making a little selling tours that promise to see the white rabbit. So far he has shown people the white rabbit on the fire hall roof, the Masonic hall roof, and the Liar's club roof. It always shows up on a roof and Robert always seems to know when it will show up. The tourists love it.
Wille has been sober , now, for three days. He still swears he saw two angels.
No pigeons have returned since the big windstorm.
Nancy says that some people are sorry now about the way they treated the Bishop.Looking back he seems to have been a good guy. It seems even sadder because the old house is empty again.

The Pigeon Falls reprints will return when I figure out where I stored them. We came back from Green Bay today after we took my granddaughter birthday shopping. On the way back we stopped at Arby's and put in an order. The price came to $11.25. Then the clerk told us the credit card thing was down so we would have to pay cash. Between us we only had $6.25. They wouldn't take a check so we just left. The rest of the trip back was fine. Since getting home I have been trying to fix what got messed up on the blog while I was in Green Bay. Well I need a breathing treatment.
