News from Pigeon Falls– The Mayor has called a town meeting for tomorrow at the pigeon statue. The entire town council will be there. It sounds like something big is about to happen. Even Nancy hasn’t a clue as to what the meeting is about. There is a general feeling that it has something to do with the millage . What is all of this about. Either the council has the power to levy the millage or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t they will figure something out. They could always have a vote. People know you have to pay for the street so they wouldn’t vote it down. Would they?
Pastor Marvel may be trying to kill the gossip about the Bishop. Mrs Marvel was down at Nancy’s and said that Anna that’s Bishop Westemen’s wife isn’t here because her mother got sick and see needed to go and care for her. She will be coming as soon as the mother gets better. Some of the ladies think that Pastor marvel sent his wife out with that story. Mrs. Nericksom said if he was any kind of Bishop and his wife’s mother was sick he’d go to help out. It just doesn’t seem right.
Another dead pigeon . It looks like this one was clobbered with a shovel blade. Eino went to Green Bay on Sunday but Pete is too busy to come at this time. His daughter Bree who reads a lot of Nancy Drew might come when school lets out. Her grandfather lives in the area.

Wonderful day to day. Lots of comments (many thanks to Mimi). Lois has some new pictures on her blog UP and Beyond. There is a link on the side. I have another trestle almost finished. Betty got more flowers planted. She has gone to bible study. I need a breathing treatment.

Not another Pigeon death. Someone is up to no good. Maybe its time to start a night patrol to keep the pigeons safe. Or somehow lure them into a huge cage for the night. I hope the Bishops wife turns up soon or the rumors will run the poor man out of town!!

It doesn't sound fishy to me that the Bishop's wife would go look after her mother...those ladies may be right but what are the odds?
I can't believe how cruel the latest pigeon's death is...i hope there is no evil lurking around...
So happy to hear that Bree (what beautiful name) will be coming to be with grandad. Any time with grandparents is a joyful time..and those extended times are a time for wonderful opportunity for both parties to bond and share and learn...I hope she comes for sure..
