Halloween

Today's Saying

Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen,
Voices whisper in the trees, "Tonight is Halloween!"
~Dexter Kozen

Wind howls and our dog cowers
or
My Dragons fly with Witches tonight

Last night the Town Council met. Mrs. Trumble told about her visit to the old lady/gypsy/witch. She told how the gremlins had moved from Mrs. Pemberthy’s to the Town Hall. She explained that the cost to get rid of the gremlins was now $5000.
But Eino then made an impassioned reasonable speech.
He pointed out that there was no such things as gremlins. He argued that the entire thing was a gypsy scam. He said the gypsies probably set all of this up and caused all the things that happened at the Town Hall. They were just out to take the town for as much as they could,
The Town Council then voted and the resolution to pay the money was defeated .
Eino said” Reason always triumphs over lies and nonsense.”
Suddenly there was a flash of lightning and standing in the Council chambers was the little old lady.
She said, “ You have attacked my honor. I neither lie nor cheat. You will now bear my curse.
Then she disappeared.

I've heard of slow learners, but Eino deserves a prize! And the rest of the town should have known better.
[covers eyes] I'm afraid to watch.

OYYYYYYYYY VEY! The DRIPLET was RIGHT!!! Holy Cow! Pigeon Falls is in Trouble again -- WITH a capital T!!! It's gonna be a Halloween to end ALL Halloweens! (I'm starting to think I'm almost as slow a learner as Eino! But I did finally GOT it!) LOL! *you only had to hit me over the head with a hammer!*

Hope the DRAGONS have a GRRRRREAAAT time tonight! We carved pumpkins this morning IN THE RAIN! Perhaps you will see them tomorrow -- IF I ever have a minute to look, choose, crop, resize and POST!

I LOVE YOU Pastor! And Betty too! And I miss you both too! I wish you could be here with us having all this fun!

Happy Halloween Dr. John! The small town where I grew up would always have an outhouse sitting in the main intersection on Halloween night!

I was glad to read that Victor was staying - I didn't know what was going on. Have been watching since day 1 back in the 70's.
