Potrait of Words

Potrait of Words
Came across the challenge called “ Potrait of Words” on Dirt’s blog yesterday.
If you think you’re a writer it’s an opportunity to write.
If like me you know your not a writer but have a blog to fill its an opportunity to fill the blog.
This one is based on pictures instead of a word list. You will find the pictures at : A Word in Edgewise”.
Here is my blog filling contribution:

Agent 012 awoke with a horrible headache to find himself on the bed next to a dead woman. Something had obviously gone wrong with his plan. He had spent nine hours yesterday watching the old mansion with its monastery like halls through the telephoto lens of his camera. He had been sure that everybody had left. There was no movement anywhere.
So he broke in. He was looking for the fake old music sheets that were really secret plans to blow up the cruise ship Lilly. He figured the music room , a good place to find music sheets, was at the end of the long corridor . He had moved as rapidly as possible to the door and then everything went black.
Now he was in bed with a dead woman , his black and white tennis shoes loaded with gadgets were missing, and he had this horrible headache. What else could go wrong?
He staggered from the bed, opened the door to the long hall and there charging at him was the biggest horse he had ever seen
This was not going to be his day.
To be continued on Saturday.

You have to admit it filled some space.

News from Pigeon Falls
The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal.
Eino left the house early this morning on his way to the garage. He wanted to get an early start and put some time in on the books before the customers started to come. He left his wife sleeping soundly. They had had a wild night last night and at his age you don’t get many of those.
Before he got to the garage his cell phone rang. It was Petrovich and he wanted him to come to the museum now. It could not wait. The last place Eino wanted to be at that time of the morning was the museum and the last person he wanted to be with was Petrovich but he went.
Petrovich was standing outside looking through the music room window through the telephoto lens of his camera. “ Look!Look!” he said to Eino.
Eino looked and there was the piano complete with the old music sheets and it was playing. The only problem is there was no one there to play it and it wasn’t a player piano.
“Now look down”, Petrovich said.
Eino looked and there was a set of running shoes dancing with nobody in them.
“ The ghosts are back” Petrovich said.
That was when Eino knew that this was not going to be his day.
Is Eino dreaming? Will he now begin to believe in ghosts? Why was Petrovich there at that time in the morning? What song were the ghosts playing? And of course is Tommy UK really the undertaker’s son. There is a fifty fifty chance that one of these questions will be answered tomorrow in News From Pigeon Falls.

Wrap Up
After blogging I spent part of the morning reading. Then I visited some of the blogs that told stories based on the same pictures as my blog was today. The difference is they wrote long stories with fleshed out stories. It made me feel so incompetent. But then I remembered I'm not a writer. I just do this for fun. I'm a story teller. A short story teller. In the afternoon Betty and I went to the basement. We installed the street that the trolley will run on after I figured out how to get electricity to it. Then we tested it with a truck because the trolley hasn't come yet. It worked fine. We also ran the train , just for the fun of it. Then we started putting out the buildings so we can see where we need power for lights etc. It is coming together. But there is much to do. Then I visited all my links. Now I need a breathing treatment.

I know you'll somehow sort things out in Pigeon Falls, but what about the 012 story? You can't just leave it like that!

Petrovich is just vying for attention as he has been out of the picture for awhile. Tommy UK will figure out that Petrovich has some sort of remote control rigged up.

This one was fast and fun! What happened to Agent 012 and the horse then? And who is the dead woman?

The link you signed into Mr. Linky at Jeff's took me to your Sept 5th post - this took a bit of finding.

Come see my post on Jeff's challenge! Link from Mr. Linky at Jeff's or click here.
Thanks.

I'm with Crazycath, although the link wasn't to this post, I DID find it. Sooooo, success?

Your story was great! I love how you worked ALL of the prompts into the story in a concise manner. And it made me want answers to who, what, how, etc.

Have a lovely day.

Ha..that reminded me of an over the top episode of 'Get Smart'.

Hope the horse "missed him by that much!"

Glad you joined the fun, and your second link worked perfect.

I am glad Eino has another puzzle to solve. I have missed him being in the midst of a confusion. He has such a stubborn and unshakable mind-set that he's fun to read about.

I think that you managed to use ALL the pictures for Portrait of Words, and all in just a few paragraphs. You're an overachiever. I can tell. ;) And agree with Jeff, very Maxwell Smart-esque. Enjoyed it very much. I see that I'm going to have to get caught up with the News from Pigeon Falls too! :)

You mentioned you're a story teller who does this for fun.

Got that right! This was a great story, lots of fun to read. Any time a guy wakes up in bed with a dead woman ya just know it's gonna be good ;)

You as accomplished a story teller as all those other long winded bloggers. You just tell your stories in pictures - my favorite medium. I never tire of your wonderful pictures of both new, and times gone by.
