Saturday July 9(Corrected)

Saying for the day:Older people shouldn't eat health food, they need all the preservatives they can get.Robert Orben
.....It was the day of the big wedding in Pigeon Falls, and the parking lot at Last Lutheran Church couldn’t of held another car. The church was decorated with hand picked cowslips, a beautiful yellow flower, and some roses from Angela South’s garden. The bride had a beautiful white dress which the ring bearer and flower girl kept stepping on. The groom’s suit looked a bit small but he borrowed it from his brother, no rental place in Pigeon Falls. The bridesmaids wore cute red and yellow dresses made for them by the three sewing Esthers from Last Lutheran. Pastor Marvel’s sermon was extra long and everyone thought he was taking advantage of the fact that the church was full. During the service the sun was shining but as the service ended it started to lightly rain. Right after the bride and groom got into the limo it turned into a downpour. The Limo hit that big pothole a mile out of town and got stuck in the mud. The poor bride and groom had to change cars and by the time they reached the Masonic building they were soaked to the core. But the reception went well anyway. The band was even better than expected and everyone cried when they sang “Chicken soup marriage.” The hit of the reception though was an old time song “ Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head”. By the time the reception was over they had the limo out of the mud and the rain had stopped. The Bride and Groom left by train on their honeymoon . Well I’ll keep you informed as to what’s happening in Pigeon Falls.
......Very good night. Got up fifteen minutes early because we are going to Green Bay to celebrate Bree's birthday. We finally got everything packed and decided to eat breakfast at the Ranch (Now called Great Northern Buffet ).It was a good plan but the restaurant didn't open until 10:00 so we ate at the Ranger City Restaurant along the road. It was not a bad breakfast. Coming to Green Bay we felt sad that our usual restaurant was gone, forever. We went to Best Buy, an office supply place, and Toys are Us, on our way to the motel. Then we checked in to the Hampton Inn with our Hilton Card. We propped the bed so I could sleep, I can't sleep laying flat because the lungs won't work. we set up my breathing machines and the oxygen tank. Then we went shopping on our way to Peter's. I can't remember the names of the places Betty wanted to go but we did stop at Walgreen's to buy something we forgot at home. Then it was off to Peter's and a wonderful meal ( grilled chicken, hot dogs and bratwurst) plus getting to see our five grandchildren, as well as Peter, Lori, Pat, and Pennie. The fireworks afterward were fabulous. Well I need a breathing treatment.
