Sunday July 3

Saying for the day:It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again.
Just be sure to flush when you are done.
Fairly good night but the mask hurt my nose so it will be the big mask tonight.
. Well with the big storm behind them the good citizens of Pigeon Falls are getting ready for their annual Pigeon Days. The big sign that hangs across the street needs to be mended and hung, a parade planned, and somebody has to find some pigeons. It would not be pigeon day without pigeons. They seem to be in scarce supply this year. Some say its because Tommy, the undertakers kid got that new bb gun but to be fair it could just be another result of the big wind. After all the pigeons always sat on the Town Hall roof and it got toppled in the storm. There is a rumor in town that the planing committee has invited a big star to lead the parade on Pigeon Day. Well we'll keep you informed as things go on in Pigeon Falls.
. In the morning Betty put some trestles in to elevate the track on the far end where the train kept losing its cars. After some adjustments this seemed to work pretty well and we got two complete round trips done before the next disconnect. Betty thinks the logging car is too unstable and so I worked on fixing that in the afternoon. We went downstairs and cut the plywood for an extension off the end of the upper tunnel. I brought up a piece of board to try under a really troublesome switch track. Betty cleaned house while I tided up in the garage. Then we went looking for our little video camera and receiver. We found it but it took a lot of looking. We really need to get organized. Dawn called and invited us to Kevin's for the 4th of July , she is also bringing some more rocks. I called Peter and found out that Bree was too tall for a child's ticket and we assume that Alex is also too tall. We are trying to get a hold of Pat to find out how tall Elijah is. Well I need a breathing treatment.

I hope Pigeon falls is prepared for clean up if they do find pigeons for the parade (Keep your food and drinks covered, folks!)

I responded late to the earlier blog in case you missed it. Pete said no one responded but I had and he did not know about it when he talked to you about Breanna's height.
