A Tenebrous Mind

It is Quilly day. Time to take Quilly’s three words for the day and write a story. The words are jussulent; tenebrous; ebullient. Click on a word for a definition.

A Tenebrous Mind
They brought in the jussulent bowl as they did every night. He hated that bowl. Not because of the broth it contained . No! that was very good .One could even call it tasty. It was the tenebrous bowl he hated. It was painted a dead black and a more gloomy looking bowl you have never seen. It reminded him of his life lost in blackness with no way out. He looked for some light but found none. Then one night he noticed the ebullient broth. It seemed enthusiastic as it sat boiling in the tenebrous bowl . Perhaps he needed to look within to find the light. He would look.

And of course with Quilly's words comes the required quivel. Remember to write quivel you must write something that looks like a poem, any style , but is so bad that if it was printed in a book of poetry a true poetic zoilist would tear it out and burn it. What looks like bad haiku is really qiku where the middle line must always contain a Quilly word.

About Weeing
The jussulent man had to wee
The broth ran through you see
Under the very tenebrous tree
As ebullient as one could be
A sight you’ll never see
A man who can wee free

News from Pigeon Falls
The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal
Somehow Herman knew that Mark was not from this world. He knew too that Mark was very powerful possibly even more powerful than the demon they had conquered. He really didn’t want to fight him alone.
Mark knew or could sense that Herman was filled with power, two different kinds of power. He had never run into a person like that before. He didn’t want to fight him at all. He needed him and his power but even that might not be enough.
For a time they just stood and looked at each other . Then Herman broke the tenebrous silence.” I haven’t seen you before are you here to see the piano?”, he asked.
“No I came to see the white rabbit and hear the stories.” Mark lied.
“ I have a friend who is an expert on the rabbit and if you’d like to meet him we can get together at the museum around 4:30.” Herman offered.
“ Great”, Mark responded.
At this point Mark moved on toward the museum and Herman went back to the Church. Neither man was sure that he had done the right thing but time alone would tell.

Wrap UP
Of course the dragons will be busy today you can see them HERE.
It has been a long day. Betty drove herself to the Doctor with Alex and Elijah. They got my scooter out so she could ride in. She is in a lot of pain. The Doctor seemed to know what she had and prescribed some spasm stopping pills and some pain pills. So she has started on them and is sleeping. Her hip did this once before so we hope it will pass over. The boys and I cleaned out the garage or to be exact finished cleaning the garage. It looks so much better. I visited and left comments on the blogs that visited here yesterday. Now I need a breathing treatment.

Most interesting.... and creative!

I will be honest. I looked at the three words for today and I had a pretty good idea about one and did nothave a clue what the other two meant! Glad you have hyperlinks that I can click on and get the definitions!!

I am reminded of a scene from On Golden Pond where Norman Thayer (he says "sounds like I have a lisp doesn't it? Thayer..." - one of my favorite lines) played by Henry Fonda says to Billy, the 13 year old boy who tries to shock him by saying "That's all just a bunch of bullshit!"

Norman looks at the boy and says "ah, yes...bullshit, heh? Yes, yes, bullshit. A good word. Yes, good word indeed. I like that word." Which completely takes the boy by surprise!

But I always enjoy seeing new words and how you and others can use them so well!

Mayo needs to brighten up their hallways! Some ART on the walls might help!

I'm trying sO hard to figure out WHAT KIND of mood you're in today! Your Quilibity is confusing me! Very scattered my friend! Entertaining none-the-less!

I've now figured out why the dragons have not even flown past Mark! They are too busy reading and writing these days to be of much use in other dragonly duties!

Hope you have a better breathing day today! You're prayed up!

LOLOLOL - A poem about pee-ing. Never in my life did I expect to see such a thing! It was fabulous (and therefore does not qualify as quivel! ;)

I'm so sorry to hear that Betty is hurting. I'm glad she had the scooter to be able to go to the doctor. Pls let her know that we hope the meds work and she is able to heal soon.

Now she has you as her angel nursing her. It is wonderful that you have each other and family around.

Much love and we will pray for her.

I love this writing, Dr. John. I believe that in every tenebrous situation, if we take the time to look for it, we will find the light within.

I hope Betty will be feeling better soon. I'm sad to hear she's not well. Wishing you both a happy Easter.
