The Days Wrap UP
It has been an interesting day. I started out after my blog with some reflection pictures. Then Betty and I went grocery shopping. My grandsons are coming for a week so we tried to plan for that as we shopped. In the afternoon Betty went to Bible Study and I did some reading. The dog was in the back yard and then just sort of disappeared, My COPD kept me from going out to look for him. Then the phone rang and my daughter wanted me to know she was home and the dog was there. I was very relieved. I spent the afternoon reading. I finished the book. Then I visited links. Now I need a breathing treatment.

Canada has a Crazy
If you think all the crazies are in the United States let me assure you it is not so. I just read the story of a mother and her autistic daughter who were subjected to intense questioning by the Children’s Aid Society because they suspected the girl was being abused. The Society began the investigation at the request of the Barrie, Ontario School Board. As the investigation proceeded it became obvious that not only had the child not been abused but the mother had gone to extraordinary lengths to protect the girl because of her autism. Further investigation was to reveal that the School Board acted on the advice of a teaching assistant. When questioned the teaching assistant said that it had to be the girl because her psychic told her that a girl with a V in her name was being abused. The girl was the only one in the class whose name , Victoria, started with a V. The mother now refuses to send her daughter to public school less some teacher take out a Ouija board or hold a séance. Now this happened in Canada so it should be clear the crazies population gets around.
News from Pigeon Falls
-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal.Tammy wants Tommy UK to tell her why he is trying to get information about Mrs. Trumble. He told her there is no good reason. Just that he thought , because of the talent show, that she was younger than she seemed to be . He also noted hat she had only lived in Pigeon Falls for the last ten or eleven years. So far he has no new information on Mrs. Trumble. His internet search has information on her until she leaves home at eighteen and then again when she marries Mr. Trumble but in between she vanishes. He has discovered that she is only forty two years old. So why has she gone our of her way to look older ? What is she hiding ? Or perhaps who is she hiding from? Tommy UK is afraid if he pushes too hard he might get her into some kind of trouble. But he is really curious.
There was a bit of excitement in Pigeon Falls yesterday. While Elmer was talking to his dad the buckboard with a full load of tourists took off. Something spooked the horses and they lit out of there fast. The tourists hats ( the cowboy ones) flew off. One lady fell from the seat to the floor of the wagon. They were sure the wagon was going to overturn and they would all be killed. Some of them expected some kind of heroic rescuer where a cowboy rides up and jumps onto the horse but that didn’t happen. Instead, unlike a Hollywood movie the horses just quir running stopped and waited for Elmer. Elmer came quickly not on a horse but a four wheeler. The tourists thought it was all part of the tour and Elmer certainly didn’t tell them otherwise.
Tommy TW has decided to title his latest book “ The Spirit of a Murder” which was suggested by a friend who gave it to Nancy at the coffee shop.
Will Tommy UK find out Mrs. Trumble’s Secret? Does Mrs. Trumble have a secret? What happened in the missing years? Will Elmer get sued. Did they find the hats? And of course is Tommy UK really the undertaker’s kid?

Tommy UK and Mrs. Trumble conspire together on the White Rabbit all this time and he is just now beginning to wonder about her?
I would not be surprised if Pigeon Falls is where the government sends all those people from the Witness Protection Program. The government seems to always show up when things are happening there, yet the word seldom gets out to the rest of the country.
Whoo hoo! TWO reflection shots today! Did ya notice the water in the lumberjack show? Of course, it doesn't have a DRAGON reflected in it... but I am so jealous, because WE don't GET lumberjack shows at OUR fair!
I have a great IDEA! Tommy and the mayor are such good friends... why doesn't he just ASK her? Surely she knows she raised suspicions with that trapeze show! Maybe she's ready to talk about it to somebody...
Oh, I LOVE the title for Tommy TW's new book! What a GREAT suggestion! LOL!
We had pictures, statements and witnesses that clearly indicted cause for abusive parenting last year, yet the three teachers and the principal all presenting the evidence were told it wasn't enough to warrant a new investigation (there'd been one the previous year) and we needed to back off or we'd be sued for harassment -- and some wacko gets away with, "My psychic said ...." I don't believe it.
Oh! And I see your dragon allowed you to photograph his magic mirror and share it with us. You are incredibly privileged -- and now so are we!
I cannot even tell you how furious I would be as a parent if someone did that to me.
a double reflection! cool...
hat's a sad story from canada but things like that happen the world over...
One scary dragon reflection today Dr. John!
Sad news out of Canada.
There are crazies everywhere - and the worst of them look totally sane!
Your reflections are great.
Many, many thanks for the lovely story in your comment. You're right - it helps a lot.
mm..mm silly silly silly. This world seems so quick to assume the worst of people, yet let them slide on nonsense.
The world is full of Crazies Dr John, and Canada has it's fair share of them. You'd be surprised to see how things have changed so no one is offended.
It is very sad.
I love your lumberjack show picture. My sisters entered into on once when we were just visiting a mountain community for the Labor Day holiday. They outdid the locals on the log cutting contest and won themselves an axe.
Wonderful dragon pictures!!! A rare sighting in the mirror.
I'm sure there are teachers and teachers helpers all over the world like this. Makes me wonder what on earth they are teaching our children.
That poor mother and daughter...what we went through with Luke at his preschool was not fun either but I am very happy with his school now.
Another good dragon reflection.
It's nice to know there's one hell of a lot of fun to be had in Canada.
When I was a teacher I never thought of using the occult. Damn! Why do I never think of these things at the time?
Sounds almost to crazy to be true, but I know that the truth is often crazier than fiction. It looks like the school would have looked into the allegations a bit better BEFORE they acted. Yikes.
Hope you COPD gives you a break and you can breathe easier, when the weather gets a little cooler.
Thanks so much for the link! :)
