Another Meme

Saying for the Day: Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die. ~Malachy McCourt

I’ve been tagged. My regular readers know how much I love being tagged. I assure you I have stopped throwing things and screaming. I , of course, will not tag anyone but I will do the meme. The person who tagged me is not a bad person. In fact he will soon be ordained an ELCA pastor. So I can’t get too upset with him. Besides he recently fell down some stairs and his back hurts. I wouldn’t add to his problems.

So here I go:

Ten years ago:
I should have gone to the doctor then I wouldn’t be in the condition I am in now.

Five things on today’s “to do” list:

Eat breakfast
Blog
Eat Lunch
Blog
Eat Super ( How boring can it get?)

Things I’d do if I was a billionaire:

Pay off all my debt
Help my family and friends out
Contribute money to St. Mark’s, United Lutheran, St. Vincent De Paul and a few other charities
Set up a fund at Luther Seminary to help Pastors get a Doctor of Ministry Degree
Get the best portable Oxygen compressor
Buy a winter home in Florida

Three bad habits:

Never comb my hair
I tend to have a hard time saying no
disorganized

Five places I’ve lived:

Chicago, Illinois
Ishpeming, Michigan
Trout Creek, Michigan
Crystal Falls, Michigan
Great Lakes Ore Boat

Five jobs I’ve had:

Calendar Folder(1st job ever)
Santa Claus Montgomery Ward
Deckhand
College Teacher (Math)
Counselor Bay Cliff Health Camp

As you know I don’t tag so if you want to do the meme feel free.

Z-Zero By Coca Cola ( My dragons favorite drink)

Z-Zebra with Betty and Susan
#### News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal . Tommy UK moved slowly up the main street of Pigeon Falls holding the meter in front of him. He received the meter this morning from a man on the milk train, but the man who gave it to him did not stay having no desire to fade away. This high frequency sound meter could hear sounds the human ear can’t hear but animals can. Tommy UK figured that’s what caused the dogs to run away. Apparently it doesn’t bother dragons though since they flew in and out in their usual pattern. The sound meter did show that there was a continuous high frequency tone, a hum if you will. The meter his uncle had sent him allowed him to pinpoint where the sound was strongest and thus help him find what was creating it. On his third pass he was confident that it was coming from a little building behind Kivi&Maki’s store.
As he approached the building he thought he could feel the signal even if he couldn’t hear it. The tips of his fingers seemed to be fading. He thought” Am I going to fade away?”.

Today's Link-Foolery-A Memorial Day Tribute
Good day. My oxygen was up a point which was good. Peter and family came. He grilled and they brought the food. It was great. After lunch the woman played canasta, Peter watched the ball game, and Luke and I played a computer game. Pennie and Lori won the canasta game. Lori showed us the article she had published in the Green Bay paper. The two dogs had a great time together and Maggie was so sad when they left. Now I need a breathing treatment.

You were SANTA CLAUS?! You GO! I so LOVE that! I already did that meme ages ago, so I'll pass! I say the same thing about the dentist though that you say about the doctor! Dumb! I'm Dumb!

Coke Zero! I never thought of that! I'm a Pepsi girl! And now I'm finding it hard to believe that you did NOT have a relative who's name began with Z! You were able to pull out X - but not Z? Amazing! No Zach... No Zeb...

Tommy better MOVE QUICK whatever he's doing! Runnnnnnn for the hills or pull the plug... but he better do it quickly!

That must have been some expensive shipping for Tommy to run the milk train to Pigeon Falls seeing as no one wants to get off there and no one apparently is getting on.

Oh, I love your dragons! Does the Coke Zero fuel their flight energy?

You really know how to string out a story! Poor Tommy!!!

Great Z post Doctor John, though I am saddened that you had no family photos to show of a relative named Zinna or Zeke or Zelda or Zack or Zed or some such Z.

Tommy needs to back far away from the sound, spend some time thinking about his course of action, then rush in and get it done.

I haven't tried Zero yet, but that collection of cans on your counter looks nearly as large as the one of Pepsi cans on mine.

Hi Dr. John,

Nice to meet you, and thank you for visiting my site (Foolery) and leaving a comment. After I wrote that simple post my brother sent me an e-mail, greatly fleshing out the story. If you get some time you might want to read his follow-up, which I posted after the first. It's all so sad and sobering on Memorial Day during war time.

Cheers to you, and thank you for the surprise link!

I realize I missed your blog on my week away. That quote is great. It sums up the first couple of month of my therapy...not funny. But I did learn what I was supposed to learn.

I have been away for awhile, away from blogging, so I read down the blog, to catch up. I didn't leave a comment on each post, simply because I often don't know what to say......I don't even really know you, but I am so worried about your breathing. I guess the Dr.'s do all they can, and with oxygen and breathing treatments you are doing your part also, but I sure don't like to hear about the hard time you are having.....not being able to get a good breath must be awful. So I was glad to find a post where you were breathing well. Of course this was a week ago wasn't it. Hope that things begin to look up again for you in your breathing. Most of us take it for granted, only when we have a cold or something and can't seem to breath do we realize how much we take it for granted.

Hope you get back up to a better oxygen level soon.
