Not AT&T

Saying for the day:Beware the wolf that tells you the fox is evil.
AT&T has joined the attack on my poor cable company. It was bad enough having Direct TV portraying the cable company as uncaring mean spirited idiots but now AT&T is joining the battle with its “ Cut you cable company loose adds”. The idea being AT&T will offer you a friendlier and less expensive package.
I love my cable company. It listens when I call. It’s people are polite and make things happen. It doesn’t require long term commitments with penalties for quitting early. It charges just what it said it would with no extra , hidden fees. It is one of he best companies I deal with.
But if I hated my cable company. If I ground my teeth at the thought of it. AT&T would be the very last company I would turn to.
I have dealt with AT&T.
They do very good commercials.
They have the world’s worst service. They are not a people friendly company.
I had DSL with them. When it would go down, which it did more often than I ever thought possible, I would end up talking to some guy in India who wanted always to walk me through the same steps. Nobody told him about the cut cable in the middle of Wisconsin. No! If my DSL was down it must be my fault so I should go through the steps. I had to learn from the evening news that DSL was down all across Upper Michigan because of a cut cable. They never would have told me.
Then there is the bill. Try and read an AT&T bill. They charge the original price for a service and then put in a discount so it comes down to the price they offered. There are a bunch of odd charges ( never explained) and the bill ends up being pages long. When my bill suddenly shot up twenty bucks I called and was told I should have renewed my discount but they would renew it and I would see a rebate in two months. It was always confusing.
So if I did hate my cable company AT&T would not be my choice to replace it.
I would try two tin cans and a piece of string before AT&T.

#### News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal . Poor Tommy UK doesn’t know what to do so he called his uncle in Iron Mountain again. His uncle called Homeland Security and told them what Tommy UK had said. They thought it might be some kind of terrorist attack. An hour later Tommy UK hear a helicopter and then another. Soon there were troops fanning out all over town. They unloaded two special forces dogs but they went crazy. They jumped and squealed and paid no attention to their handlers.
The head of the group who might have been a General simply would not believe what Tommy was telling him. He said , over and over, people do not simply fade away. Tommy UK insisted he was telling the truth. Then it began again and one by one they faded out.
Tommy UK was left with just the two dogs who ran out of town as fast as they could run.
Tommy UK still hasn’t heard any humming.

Today's Link-Jules Stones- Memories of Grandmother
Another great day. My oxygen was up in the low nor4mal range again. I wish I knew why. I found this wonderful video on U-tube that tells who are Lutheran. I wanted to add it to St. Mark's website. That was a real pain. Publisher generates such a complex html code that I couldn't figure out where to put the U-tube html. Finally I went back and used the older version of Publisher which generates a smaller easier to see code. So now the U-tube video is on the website. In the afternoon Betty and I worked in the basement again. Box by box we are going to get it done. Then I visited some blogs. Now I need a breathing treatment.

LOL! I'm with ya on AT&T! We had phone service with them - that didn't last long!

Baby William Bennet had some mighty cute shoes!

I think we need to back up a step to driblet 187! Could be some Gawpo might help! (could clear things up a tad!) Does Gawpo come in a can? Could Tommy UK FEED some to the next crew that shows up? Or maybe to the dogs... I dunno... just a suggestion...

It looks like the Cable Companies are the "Bad Guys" on both sides of the Border. Only the cable companies don't have hidden fees, disconnect fees, cancellation fees, what have ya. But they are made to look like this huge Corporate Monster that is only looking out for themselves.

This is why the Phone Companies have to give away free computers and gifts (that do come with a hidden price) to get their customers. I work for the cable company I could tell you horror stories. (but maybe not for much longer)

Oh, I have some very good news for you and Betty, The References are being check by the City, it is only a matter of time now. I still didn't put all the eggs in the one basket yet - got to wait for that call.

A Blessed day is wished for you and Betty.

The first mistake was calling Homeland Security - AKA the Keystone Cops...

Why did those dogs run off? Maybe they smelled the scent of the dragons.

Wedding and Winter ! good ideas ! Now I wonder if you have a cousin named Xaver or Xantippe for X, lol !

In Belgium we have cable TV since end of the 60th it automatically was put in the ground together with telephone, electricity and gaz lines. Even if you didn't have a TV which was the case of most of us. This is still done, and belongs to the official TV cable distributor Belgacom. But since a few years we also have other companies.

Jules was a great choice for today's link. I loved reading that post.

And I see that winter was so cold it actually turned blue!

Tommy better stop bring people to Pigeon Falls or soon he'll be the only visible person on earth!

You are certainly whipping through the alphabet. Are you going to start over again when you are finished?
Luckily we don't get to deal with AT&T up here in the North. The internet service from our cable company is brilliant.

oh my goodness...what a blushing surprise to find that you pointed out my post. I am honored. Thank you.

The AT&T stuff...isn't it frustrating? The bashing commercial gimmicks always iritate me. Since when is it okay to may one person look good by putting another to shame?

Thank you for sharing your photos. I love looking and imagining the memories attached to each one.
