Monk is Alive

Saying for the day-If only life were like the serials and everybody got saved in the end.

Monk is still alive.
Remember last week the Captain shot him.
I thought maybe he used blanks but he didn’t.
Monk was wearing a bulletproof vest.
I am so relieved.
Twice during the evening it looked like he was going to die again.
Once the evil sheriff had Natalie and Monk covered. We knew he had orders to kill him. Then Monk put out the lights. The Sheriff fired in the dark. Now that would have been a place where a serial would have stopped and made you wait a week.
The next point was when Monk was trying to stop the governor’s car. Just a few more inches and Monk would have joined Trudy. Another place where the old time serials would have stopped and made us wait a week.
But now we live in a faster world. Everything has to fit in an hour because that’s how television works.
The old time serials could be twenty seven minutes one week and fifteen another. The plot determined the time.
I miss those days.

####News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal. The Tommy Club is meeting today. They are going to clean up the clubhouse in the hopes of inviting Detective Castle to visit. Tammy keeps telling them their crazy Tommy the Farmer’s Kid says she is becoming a nag. They should never have left her in the club. She isn’t a real Tommy. Tommy UK says to leave her alone she has a right to her opinion. That’s when Tommy PK began singing “ Tommy, Tommy, Tommy’s in love.” Tommy UK punched him and a fight broke out. Now the clubhouse is a bigger mess than it was before and there are two Tommys with black eyes, one each. The good news is they will be gone by the time Detective Castle gets here. The clubhouse might even be clean.
Petrovich is still waiting for an e-mail from the Russian monastery. The first pictures they sent him were of the wrong driblet. But he is sure they understand what he wants and this time will send the right one.
Ten people showed up last night for the Hillary for President rally at the gazebo. That’s a big crowd for a winter political thing in Pigeon Falls. In fact it’s a big crowd for a summer political thing in Pigeon Falls. People in Pigeon Falls aren’t into politics except for the school board. School board elections always draw large voter numbers.

Today's Link-Juggling Life- A story about a wrong word. Funny
Another wasted day. It started great I had coco in a Janvangogh cup. Now that's the way to start the day. There is a link to her shop on the side. This is not a paid advertisement. I just like the cup.The rest of the day I wasted. Played games on the computer. Did a little blog visiting. I need Spring. Now I need a breathing treatment.

I have never understood why, if Petrovich is such a Gregnicov fan, he doesnt move back to Russia so he can use the actual driblets.

Alas we all have our very own idea of heaven, so there must be more than ONE.

What no Guinness?
Can't be heaven then.

I'd like to go back in time to when things were easier and not so rushed. But this is a time before computers, cellphones, all the modern conveniences we have now. The only downside none of us would have met you and Betty as we wouldn't have a computer or internet.

A Blessed Weekend is wished for you and Batty.

I wonder if Bill noticed, when he wrote his comment, that all of those time saving devises have made us even busier and more frantic. They have also seriously altered values and morals -- not necessarily for the good.
