A burple or Birple we will go.

Saying for the day- If you want a job done well then get somebody else to do it.

On the left you will find two polls.
The climax of our word creation efforts.
You are asked to vote for the meaning of the word burple.
And you are asked to vote for its sound alike birple.
Every good English word has a word that sounds like it but is spelled differently and has a different meaning.
The voting will run through next Thursday.
This is the most important step so jump right in.

There will be a drawing tomorrow after all.

#### News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal. The ACLU lawyers waited until eleven o’clock when Mrs. Trumble finally showed up at the Town Hall. She said it was such a nice day that she had gone dragon hunting .
She, however, refused to meet with the lawyers until the town lawyer was present. Fred arrive at around eleven thirty. Said he would have been there earlier but his arthritis was killing him.
Upon his arrival the lawyers placed in the hands of Mrs. Trumble the federal court injunction and told her they expected her to obey it. Mrs. Trumble responded by saying that she and the town were law abiding citizens and would certainly obey any relevant court ruling. At this point Fred handed the lawyers the official response of the town. It read as follows:
In as much as you have been informed on two separate occasions that the town has no holiday tree.
And in as much as the manger scene in question belongs not to the town but to the Methodist and Lutheran Churches .
Therefore
The injunction has no meaning and can not be enforced.
Further for us to attempt to enforce the removal of the manger scene would cause us to breach the wall of separation between church and state which we are not willing to do.
Further still since you have been so informed we will consider any further action against us on your part legal harassment and we will initiate a law suit against you.
It was signed by Mayor Trumble, Fred, and the town council members. A copy has been sent to the Federal Court.
At that point Mrs. Trumble indicated the meeting was over and they should leave.
On their way back to the train station they found themselves floating upside down and being dumped in a snow pile. The all too familiar oil cans then appeared and poured out over their thousand dollar suits. This added to the mud already there.
Is this the last we will see of the ACLU lawyers ? Will they go back to court? Will they sue the poltergeist? Can you sue a poltergeist? And of course is Tommy UK really the undertaker’s kid?

Today's Link-Poems of the solitary mind- A sad poem of ways of seeing things.
One of those dull days of which my life seems to be made up. In the morning we worked downstairs. I sorted track and Betty worked on the layout. In the afternoon Betty took the dog for a walk. I went back downstairs and tested an engine to put up for sale on eBay. The highlight of the day was testing the old bubble car and discovering it still makes bubbles. We will take the pictures and publish the items to eBay tomorrow. Now I need a breathing treatment.

Tried to vote but my mark wouldn't stay so I'll just say that I liked #3 about the baby burping a bubble; and #6 about the one word comment on blogs.
Have a great week.

Can I add one? A burple is the sound one makes when burping after drinking Grape soda. Do you have Grape soda in the States?

I did what every loyal "T.T." listener does: I did an internet search on burple. You would be amazed how many results, such as an Anchor Hocking line, a famous soft-drink, MUCH MORE!
