New Year

*****

News from Pigeon Falls-The little town in my garage where the trains still run and dragons fly. Last night was a New Year's Eve in Pigeon Falls that will never be forgotten. It was just a little before midnight and half the town had gathered on main street to watch the big pigeon egg drop At one minute before midnight it began to descend. It was just like being in Times square except it was an egg and not an apple. It was halfway down the rope when it happened. Suddenly there was our community dragon breathing fire. He burned through the rope and the egg instead of descending slowly now dropped to the ground. That's when it got weird. the egg was supposed to be a big plastic imitation egg but when it hit the ground it broke open and people were sprayed with an egg like substance. The dragon having added its fireworks to the celebration then flew off into the woods before Mrs. Trumble could get a clear shot. Now the question is who changed the eggs and why.
Of course Tommy, the undertaker's son is the prime suspect. But as far as anyone knows he wasn't even at the celebration. At the very least nobody saw him. In fact nobody saw him all day.
Nobody even knows when the switch was made. One wonders if there is anything in Petrovich's driblets about exploding bird eggs. One might suspect him but he's in Russia studying at a monastery.
Well the New Year has begun with the people of Pigeon Falls having egg on their face not to mention shirt , pants, and shoes.

No Link today or Tomorrow- The NEW is coming.
We went to Peter's for the day. We had a memorablr day. We had fondue and saffron buns. We played canasta and watched football games. The kids played with their cousins and had a great time. It was just one great day but I didn't get a chance to visit any blogs but I will tomorrow.
Now I need a breathing treatment.

Petrovich SAID he was going to study at a Russian monastery. But did anyone SEE him leave? Hmmm.

Are we even sure it was a pidgeon egg? I mean maybe the dragon was ticked because it was a real dragon egg? hmmmmm, one wonders.

At yesterday's New Years Eve service, our pastor concluded by saying " The Good Lord gave us two ends ... One to think with, and one to sit on. The kind of year you have in 2007 depends on which one you make the most use of. Heads you win, tails you lose ! " My resolution is to use the thinking end more this year. Happy 2007 to you !
