2008 in Pigeon Falls Continued
July

The white rabbit and the whale make up much of the month.
Tommy UK dives after the whale and doesn’t come back. He is presumed dead.
The McGregor twins are born as are the Petrovich twins.
Tommy UK shows up on a Canadian lake and is sent home by a man in black.
Tommy UK ruins his memorial service.
The fingerprint of the man in black ends up being highly classified.
A supposed FBI man arrives and trys to take Tommy UK’s passport.

August

The retelling of the Pigeon Falls story.
Petrovich posts a driblet about the start of Pigeon Falls.
The truth about the white rabbit is made known.
The Methodists get into a pasty fight. Their Superintendent came and worked it out.
Another set of Pigeon Days celebrations came and went.
Another secret about Mrs. Trumble begins to be made known.

September

Mrs. Trumble’s secret given in a driblet.
Lots of local gossip about Mr. McGregor.
The piano that plays by itself and the dancing shoes show up at the museum.
Poor Eino trys to find rational explanations for Pigeon Falls events.

October

Herman become Pigeon Fall’s own seer.
Mrs. Trumble is revealed as Mary Maxim.
The history of the mystery piano is revealed.
Petrovich tries to end Herman’s visions.
The Happy Pigeon is created by Pigeon Ekola.
Herman has his cow on the Masonic roof vision.

November

The cow, the rocking chair, and the bird show up on the Masonic roof.
Pigeon Falls’ biggest wedding took place with Melli in the wedding party.
Petrovich publishes the driblet on the coming shadow.
Tommy UK and Tammy kiss for the first time.

December

Tammy and Tommy UK kiss and make up. They are in love.
Herman’s visions cease.
The shadow begins to swallow Pigeon Falls.
Tammy and Tommy UK try valiantly to save the town.
Herman’ puzzle is found to be the key.
Tommy UK decides to save the whale.

News from Pigeon Falls

The little town in my basement where the trains still run, dragons fly, and life is back to normal.
On the second day of the New Year Pigeon Ekola called his cousin Nancy and asked her to come over right away. He said it was an emergency of sorts. So Nancy got somebody to watch the shop and rushed over to Pigeon’s. She found him in the living room with what looked like a child in a Green Bay Packer nightshirt.
“ I need help “ he said “ with Oops”.
“Oops? What is that ?” she responded.
He pointed at the child . “Oops is the one that came out of the potato on New Years Day. I called her Opps because when you ask her name all she says is Oops. Actually no matter what you ask her all she says is Oops.”
“Why don’t you call Social Services? It’s their job to take care of abandoned children.
“ I did. The lady asked how the child came to be at my place and I told her it came out of the potato. That’s when she hung up on me” . Pigeon said sadly.
I was going to call her back when Oops did that “
Tommy UK is determined this year to save the whale. Wonderful people have given him a lot of ideas but none of them seem workable. Somebody suggested he pour alcohol into the lake to act as anti-freeze but the DNR said it would never allow that. Besides then he might then have a drunken whale on his hands.
Somebody suggested putting a big black blanket on top the ice and it would melt. But for that to work they needed sun and no wind.
Somebody suggested that he paint the ice black but the DNR nixed that as well.
So he is still trying to come up with a workable idea.
Can Tommy UK save the whale? What did Oops do? Where did Oops come from. What is Oops? And of course is Tommy UK really the Undertaker’s Kid. The New Year could answer all those questions in New from Pigeon Falls.
