Lung capacity up slightly, Good News
Dr. Jim arrived on the milk train yesterday and Chief Ican and he spent most of the day together. First Chief Ican described all the magic events that have taken place over the last few weeks. Dr. Jim got to hear about the chocolate bar rain, The Cat in the Hat, the nursery rhymes, and Mighty Mouse.
For the entire time this was going on Chief Ican hoped that some act of magic would take place but it didn’t. So Dr. Jim used the time to explain the different kinds of magicians and wizards one might come in contact with.. These are:
1. A person with no real magic ability but accomplished at slight of hand and then use of gimmicks to appear magical. Likely to be found in Las Vegas and on the entertainment circuit.
2. The same type of person that learned a few real magic spells and somehow got them to work. He adds these to his regular act and looks very much like a real magician.
3. A person born with latent natural magic ability. Later in life finds and apprentices himself to Wizard and learns the spells and gestures of the craft. Then he studies the old spell books and expands his abilities. After that he either become a Wizard that does good and possibly a protector or he becomes an evil Wizard and uses his ability to further evil ends.
4. A person born a Wizard. It is as if they come with all the spells built in. When others are doing second hand spells in Latin they do them in the original language which is like but not exactly the same as Ukrainian. They are very rare. Dr. Jim suspects that’s what Pigeon Falls has.
At this point Pastor Joan stopped in to invite them to super at her house. The entire planning group will be there and they would like to meet Dr. Jim.
When she left Dr. Jim said “ That lady is covered with the best spell of protection I have ever seen.

The Ongoing Adventures of Agent 012
The year started out well for Agent 012 as his mother-in-law left. There certainly had been no silver lining to her visit unless you count how good he felt when she left.
He was sitting in the kitchen with a hot mug of wood turtle soup feeling rather sanguine when his son dropped the bomb. He wanted to become an astronaut and would like to go to space cadet camp in July. The only problem was that the best camp was run by the Chinese in China and he wanted to go to the best.
Agent 012 reminded the son of the house slide rule which clearly stated that you didn’t try to slide a new idea past a parent without the other present. But he did promise his son he would research the camp and then discuss it with his mother. So he used his sources in the Agency to find out what he could. It seems that this was not the best space camp but that was just a Chinese sales pitch. It was even worse several of the youngsters that went to last years camp came back with broken bones and grease burns. It seems some equipment malfunctioned spraying them with hot grease and throwing them against the wall. All they had on the spot to treat the burns was ice. The Chinese Government blamed the incident on a piece of garbage in a gear and gave assurances that it couldn’t happen again.
Before he could explain all of this to his son the Agency called on a secure phone to tell him they needed him to track the mandala bomber. He was called that because near where the bomb was detonated they always found a colorful mandala. So far the bomber had blown up two mosques and three minarets.
They needed him right away.
This was going to be an interesting year.
You are up early here, Dr. John. I came from the 6WS site. Happy 6WS!
ReplyDeleteThat Dr. Jim is scripted well here. You are doing a good job. I am glad he could interpret for them and now we will see if he has some advice.
I've heard he doesn't do magic or cast spells.
Agent 012 looks interesting. I have not been following this.
..
~absolutely loved your words written...and mighty mouse...i though he was long forgotten! have a wonderful weekend! brightest blessings~
ReplyDeleteHa Ha - House SLIDE RULE! Love that use of that phrase!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear lung function is up - we want many, many stories in the future out of you!
Great News!
ReplyDeleteI just love how you weave Agent 012's home life in with his high adventures. Really looking forward to see how he gets on chasing the mandala bomber. Lung function up? Great news!
ReplyDeleteThat's great news my friend. Hmmm so Pastor Joan is covered with the best spell of protection...that's interesting...must be her hubby or possibly the mysterious child. Wait, maybe it's her new baby that's doing all of this.
ReplyDeleteGood for chief Ican and his mother in law leaving. Glad he checked on the Chinese Space Camp...all hot air hmmm. At least he had a good day :)
YAAAAAAAAAAAY for the lung capacity!!! Whoooo hoooo! Keep walkin'!
ReplyDeleteWell of COURSE Pastor Joan is well protected! Besides GOD - she had OOPS! I wonder if Herman is well protected too? Oh! And then Dr. Jim hasn't MET Tommy or Robert yet... I bet Dr. Jim MOVES to Pigeon Falls! He's going to be blown away by all the MAGIC that goes on there!
Life is never boring for Agent 012, I'll say that! Are those mandalas in one piece or are they broken? (I'm lookin' for clues)
That's great news about the increased lung capacity! Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day your lung capacity will match your heart capacity, but I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteIt struck me that Chief Ican must have an evil twin somewhere named Chief Icant, because during my childhood I whined a lot and said "I can't" but my father, who had a lot of wiz-dom even though he was not a wizard, broke the spell simply by saying, "Can't never did anything." I think it was something his father must have said to him.
First sentence - the silver lining part - was my favorite. Wonderful as always, though. Glad your lungs are doing better. Those of us who are lucky all too often take breathing for granted.
ReplyDeleteGood news (however "slight") is still Good News!
ReplyDeleteHere’s this week’s good news:
